TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! JONAS HUGHES DROPS OUT OF KC MAYOR'S RACE TO RUN IN THE 3RD DISTRICT!!! CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTING PROBLEMS PLAGUE THE MISSOURI STATE REP!!!

Interesting developments in Kansas City Council elections this afternoon . . .
JUST HEARD FROM JONAS HUGHES AND HE SAYS HE'S DROPPING OUT OF THE MAYOR'S RACE IN ORDER TO RUN FOR CITY COUNCIL IN THE 3RD DISTRICT!!!

(Jonas with Ben Stein)
He sounds confident . . . Hughes said, "The Community has asked me to run In-District and I think that's how I can best serve Kansas City and my constituents."
However . . . There are more challenges for Hughes to face. Remember an issue with back taxes that became public not so long ago.
NOW CAMPAIGN REPORTING PROBLEMS FACE HUGHES REGARDING TWO DIFFERENT ADDRESSES LISTED IN HIS FILINGS!!!
Check the MO Ethics site for yourself:
The addresses listed put Hughes on Wallace and on College for Mayor and State Rep. filings respectively.
THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE THOSE FILINGS WERE COMPLETED JUST 8 DAYS APART!!!
A critic of the Hughes campaign says, "Making false filings with the Missouri Ethics Commission is fraud and it's felony."
I talked with Hughes about this controversy that COULD BE HUGE and he claims that he will amend the reports . . .
Regardless . . . The race for the 3rd District is Kansas City's most important and looks like it will be getting even more interesting. Check back for an update.
DEVELOPING . . .
Mayor James.
ReplyDeleteWhy do money issues always linger around a Moreno run campaign like mustard gas in a WWI trench?
ReplyDelete"A critic of the Hughes campaign says, 'Making false filings with the Missouri Ethics Commission is fraud and it's felony."
ReplyDeleteAnd you think that would mean anything to Crazy Chris Moreno?
The sad thing is that means Hughes is probably the least-bad option in the 3rd. At least when judged against disbarred nutjob Fletcher, mean unpredictable nutjob Sanders Brooks, and no-reason-to-run-but-ambition Reed.
ReplyDeletenigga need to make some mo coin!!!! betta as a council peep!
ReplyDeleteJonas lives at 4019 College on October 20, 2010.
ReplyDeleteAnd then he lives at 4600 Wallace on November 2, 2010, and in every disclosure period before that.
These documents show he just committed CRIMINAL FRAUD to go along with his:
"Insufficient Funds" checks that his family's political connections have protected him from.
Hughes is IN TROUBLE...you cannot say it is "racism" when he is dumb enough to file official documents that show he is breaking the law. The good news is that there will be a state rep. seat open after he is indicted!
ReplyDelete4:22 how is Reed, Fletcher or Brooks responsible for Jonas committing another felony?
ReplyDeleteHe has truly bounced checks all over KC and Jeff City and now he is dumb enough to sign his own indictment.
Each time he files another campaign disclosure with one of the false addresses, he breaks the law AGAIN.
ReplyDeleteThis is CArol Coe and his corrupt mother all over. Anybody but this crook.
Yeah. Finally. Its about time. Jonas is the best candidate.
ReplyDeleteThe missouri ethics committee has an amendment process to correct errors. Maybe the address belonged to his treasurer, who knows why the mistake was made, but if it is amended then the problem is solved. This isn't a federal election where you have us attorneys looking for improprieties. This is the mec where if you fix it your good.
Many examples, mike brown in 2004 and don calloway in stl senate race come to mind.
Jonas will be fine and wins the race. Good for kc.
Please Jonas. Dump Moreno.
ReplyDeleteFor the sake of your campaign. You could do well but not with that guy on board.
Jonas Hughes needs a job so that he can stay on a public payroll.
ReplyDeleteEnd of campaign rationale and what he wants to take from the residents of KCMO.
Jonas sounds tailor-made for Moreno.
ReplyDeleteHey he also has a white girlfriend. I bet Gwen Grant doesn't know this!
ReplyDeleteAnyone but Sharon Sanders Brooks, the rumor is Mrs. Willis visited with her in January 2009 informing her about the Cordish Companys racist acts and sent the current council information regarding Cordish and the info was ignored. Yesterday was a sad day in Kansas City 25 jobs were lost that could have been avoided.
ReplyDeleteThe owners asked for nothing but the same considerations offered the restaurants owned by Cordish.
Reed, Fletcher, Hughes, Ellington
I don't give a care as long AS SHARON IS OUT.
Karma, is A "B"
a "B"
Yes sir I like it!!!!!! Jonas has my vote!!!
ReplyDeleteReed hasn't even set up his MEC account. Can't wait for the debates . Who cares about bouncing checks or not living at a in district address? Durwin Rice admitted to not only thee Citizens Association & Kansas city star that he only moved into the district 3rd 6 wks ago and no one is making a big deal of this. So what's good for the white boy is not good for the black man!
ReplyDeleteYou should give a shit that's why we are in the condition we are in now,Mr.Eric L. Wesson.
ReplyDeleteJonas is using RGC, not Moreno, he is backed by idiots 1 and 2, Danny Powell and Chris Benjamin!
ReplyDeleteJust what KCMO needs a city council person that can't balance his own check book AND needs to file corrections with the ethics commission about where he lives.
ReplyDeleteThese career policticians such as Huges are a joke.
Jonas, stay home no one is asking you to do anything but learn how to balance your check book. You haven't done shit at the state house but maybe give rex sinquefield a blowjob for the $20,000 he gave you.
I gaurantee you that Fletcher's people are not going to let Jonas just "amend" his multiple campaign reports--this is a dream for Fletcher.
ReplyDelete7:28 the LAST thing Hughes needs to worry about is Fletcher, Hughes has committed a state felony and probably a federal felony he is going to prison.
ReplyDeleteJonas, does crack make you forget where you live?
ReplyDeleteI just looked at these filings--Hughes is either 1) mentally unstable or 2) he believes people can't read, this fucking guy literally lists two different address in two different filings--12 days apart. Residency can usually mean whatever a candidate says it does--unless you file a document that says you don't live in the district.
ReplyDeleteNow please explain to me why the third district is as in as terrible shape as it is.
ReplyDeleteReplace one self-serving loser with another if you want, but there are some good new candidates running.
The whole thing can't go that much farther down the tubes!
Residency can usually mean whatever a candidate says it does--unless you file a document that says you don't live in the district.

Isn't that right Durwin Rice?
I guarantee that you Fletcher supports should learn to spell!

If that the best you can do is find a misspelling? What a moron you must be.
ReplyDeleteJonas hasn't hired any consultants, not moreno and not rgc.
ReplyDeleteHe will amend the reports, no big deal, at worst a mec fine, probably nothing.
And we heard time and again that jj rizzo was in trouble and going to jail and perhaps jeff city is as bad as jail, but more like smear efforts from frustrated opponents.
Jonas wins!
I know him. He has lupus and is really f*cking lazy.
ReplyDeleteThe option of amending a report is generally used for unintentional errors and not to try to cover up election fraud--state and federal.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Jonas going to say 1) when he filed his mayoral report on October 20, 2010 and listed this 4019 College Address he simply forgot the address he used for his four prior reports filed as a state rep. that listed an entirely different address of 4600 Wallace...or 2) when he filed his five reports that listed the 4600 Wallace address he meant to list his 4019 College?
Hughes is going to jail on this one--and maybe federal prison.
Hughes has the look of a Jail House Sissy.
ReplyDeleteI spoke to Jonas on numerous occasions and it was Danny Powell that was in charge of his race. Typical he'd try and pass the buck considering his other failures.
ReplyDeleteTwo words...PRI-SON.
ReplyDeleteJonas Hughes will make a great City Councilman. He is a visionary, with the best experience and ability to serve the hardworking people of the 3rd District. On top of that, he is a true friend to many, and great person, with a family that has served this community for decades.
ReplyDeleteOk Lisa, we know you love your son:)
ReplyDeleteWhat can Fletcher do? We want to see a campaign run for the interest of the people, we are not interested in what Michael brings back for California.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason Fletcher has followers is because he is paying them. Go Reed.
ReplyDeletePeople move in two weeks and then they change their mind and move back. This is a free country. It is not illegal to file a campaign report with different addresses.
ReplyDeleteIt is entirely possible he thought he was going to live there and something changed.
The election hasn't occurred, he hasn't filed for the seat and MEC reports are ammendable. There is no crime here.
Every annonymous poster who says otherwise is trying to scare Jonas or promulgate a false narrative.
Jonas has been in Jefferson City for 6 years, he is only 30. If he will stop being lazy (which he is gulty) and pay more attention to details which is largley a part of the maturation process, then he offers the best hope for positive development for the 3rd district over the long term.
His potential has been largely unfulfilled in the legslature but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist and makes a damn good case why the age limit for legislators should be raised to 30 yrs old.
again, just two cents from someone who has watched the candidate work in the capitol.
What would we do without google alert?
Is Ben Stein going to vote for Hughes? Or maybe he's going to drop in from California and run for mayor, sort of the battle of the coasts with him and Chastain.
ReplyDeleteThese candidates only go to prove that in a city of almost half a million residents, the same little clique of names and individuals comes up over and over again.
But the voters never seem to learn or care, so what the heck!
