The Mayor's FAIL still costs Kansas City Money and he hasn't promised any real change in this area . . . Voters should know that casting their ballot for Mayor Funky is basically an endorsement of Gloria Squitiro's behavior and Mayor Funky's consent of his office basically out of control.
Come on Funky make another nasty press release you remember. We remember too..

Why did the city council agree to this ?? First, Pierce would not have made a good witness even though you know Gloria did it. They could have proved he was fired for insubordination -- he leaked everything he could get his hands on to DeAnne Smith at the Star. As for the politics---now the incumbents including Hermann have given away more tax dollars. Let it go to trial in January and entire mess in the Mayor's office would have played out while Funk was running for re-election.
ReplyDeleteActually, deciding not to approve it is exactly the political move. However, settling for 125K is worth it given the risk if the City lost. So . . . pay 125K or risk losing much more . . . minimizing losses is the move I, as a citizen, would prefer.

5:57pm Now that's a great idea! If we lose on the etax, we could raise revenue by opening a dunking booth for elected officials. The citizens could work off their frustrations. Funds would be raised to provide services. And the Mayor and Council Members would receive regular baths!
