TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! MAYOR FUNKY AND HIS 2010 CAMPAIGN CONTRADICTIONS!!!

Never mind that Mayor Funky failed to keep any of his campaign promises from his first campaign . . .

He had a horrible relationship with the City Council.

He never got close to putting those sidewalks on Red Bridge.

There are just as many steel plates as ever in this town.

Kansas City is in far worse financial shape then when he took over.

And his "Smart with the Money" promise was nothing more than a lie given that he voted for a pricey MAST hostile takeover along with the hundreds of thousands that Kansas City had to pay for his wife's dirty mouth.

But focusing on his latest inconsistencies is probably more productive . . .

Remember that not so long ago Mayor Funky claimed he had 1000 petition signatures to start his election campaign.

This boast begs a rather big question . . .

IF MAYOR FUNKY HAS MORE THAN ENOUGH SIGNATURES TO START HIS REELECTION CAMPAIGN THEN WHY HASN'T HE FILED THEM?!?!?

I don't claim to know the answer.

But here's something I do know . . . Mayor Funky's dimwit volunteers were spotted collecting signatures in Parkville and were told that looking for registered KC voters in another town was really unproductive.

Even worse . . .

A GREAT MANY KANSAS CITY VOTERS REFUSED TO SIGN PETITION SIGNATURES FOR MAYOR FUNKHOUSER!!!

His failure as a politico and an elected official have once again been highlighted by his inconsistency regarding his campaign propaganda.

So far only Deb Hermann, Mike Burke, Henry Klein, and Sly James have filed to run for the office of Kansas City Mayor in the upcoming election.

As of this writing . . . Mayor Funky is nowhere to be found on the list of candidates for Mayor yet he claimed to have more than enough signatures.

Yet again, Mayor Funky has failed to learn that it's not just about saying the right things but following through on big talk that makes a leader. This post is simply an effort to direct the Mayor (yet again) to follow through on his statements.

And if his staff isn't scampering to get his papers filed this morning . . . It's rather obvious that their deeds can't live up to their propaganda, just like so many of us suspected.

Comments

  1. He had till Jan. 9th to file. What's the rush?

  2. I wouldn't want the job of getting people to sign his petition. Not unless I loved verbal lashings.

  3. Jeff Roe will pay Labor Ready people to get the signatures. If you put enough petitions on the street you can get the signatures to put anything on the ballot.

  9. The Mayor had zero relationship with the counsle--he did not even try. If more persons would have signed our Recall petion, this would not even be a topic now

  10. The longer he waits to file, the more he can use City resources to promote his own propaganda. Until he's an official candidate, there's not violation of the ordinance.

  11. Yep, he is tricky that way. He will say he is holding back "as a campaign strategy". Some will believe him, the rest of us know he is having a devil of a time getting his petition signed.
If he resorts to Labor Ready (BTW, Is his future son-in-law the "Charles" currently working in his office?), it will be the only time he has had a positive impact on the working poor of this city.

  12. Don't waste time wondering about signatures. There are easily a thousand people who dont' read this blog who will sign on name recognition alone, if reminded their trash was picked up and to not sign will cost them money.

Like Republicans getting the House, common sense has nothing to DO with getting votes (or signatures.) Ends justify means... and he's clearly an "ends justify means" kinda guy!

So give it up. BTW, smaller photo of the man please, and less rambling stuff you've said in the past already.
