Deb Hermann Attacks Mayor Funky

Here's a link to the Council Lady's presser, Deb Hermann's camp won't send their press release copy to TKC for reasons that I don't understand and are starting to piss me off . . . But anyhoo, here it is:

Hermann suggests Funkhouser to blame for Missouri-Kansas incentive battle, discusses earnings tax

This is important because so far Mayoral Candidates Jim Rowland and Mike Burke have led the way in attacking Mayor Funky . . . However, Deb Hermann's words hit closer to home because she has worked with him and every criticism from her reminds us that people in direct contact with the Mayor don't like him.

So . . . If Hermann is going to take the Mayor to task, she had a bit of catching up to do.

So far Sly is only candidate who refuses to call out the Mayor and I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

Developing . . .

  1. Deb doesn't have a chance so who cares?

  2. Wow she attacks the Funk --- like a little late in the game, especially since the whole city has been doing it for years... so now she decides to jump on the band wagon.

  3. It sho is easy to pick on a cripple....

  4. Sly is the only smart guy. How can these idiots that are prone to thug behavior act like low class street fighters then claim to restore dignity? So funny.

Funkhouser and Sly are the only two who have risen above pettiness. It should be them in the General.

  5. Oh Please, Funkhouser is full of pettiness stop trying to associate that Idiot with Sly. We remember the NASTY Funkhouser's. "Council member fucking little boy in the ass." Go Glo.

  6. huh??? i don't remember. do tell more.

    ReplyDelete
  7. No that was Gloria. She told Mammy, "Tell him to get her dick out of her ass and get on the phone."

That's how she conducted herself in the Mayor's Office.

  8. But Deb said she would run only a positive campaign ! Read the Prime Buzz coverage of this tirade. Helling rebuts Hermann for the fact she sponsored the ordinance to give away $1.5 million in E-tax for some group who wanted to move to Kansas. Neither of the two co-incumbents should be re-elected. Burke, Rowland or James would be just fine.

  9. 4:59 think it through. The e-tax rebate was $150,000 a year in exchange for keeping a $30 million payroll in KC. What should KC do...nothing, while Kansas lures businesses away with state funds? Jeff City isn't helping us, so we have to do it. Hermann was right on keeping the NAIC here.

  10. Rowland is Funk Lite. Nothing more. Maybe less.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Rowland is starting to look more impressive. Anyway much better than Funk.

  12. I'm leaning toward Deb for mayor. I recently asked for some help with a water leak in the Fourth District. Deb came through (same day service). I never heard back from Jan or for that matter from Funky.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Is that how we judge an elected official? who can give me what I want/need?
Right now all candidates are willing to do anything in order to get your vote.
Deb is mildly effective at solving simple problems. What has she done to solve systemic problems? She is no different than Funkhouser. She prefers telling you why everybody else is stupid instead of showing you that she's smarter than everybody else.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Good she came through for 7:50 pm I asked her to help save a business and she totally ignored me. I will tell everyone what she and her colleagues did and she doesn't deserve a second chanc.

    ReplyDelete
  15. There is a difference between "negative" and "critical." I don't see what Deb wrote as negative: it doesn't engage in exaggeration or hyperbole, and it does not address irrelevancies. It points out differences between herself and Funky. What's the big deal?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Amen 813. This is so true.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Funk could not do this by himself. Petty council member who would go against him, just because they did not like him, are more responsible and Hermann is one of those! Get rid of her!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I love it . . . some say Deb supports Funk too much . . . other say she opposed him too much. Just proves everyone is too narrowly focused on individual moments and issues.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Funk couldn't recruit a pig to a sty. People don't want to go near the guy. Just watch him in public. He's an embarassment to the City.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The Co mayors made it impossible for every person working in City Government. Deb is not responsible for Funks bad acts.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Make sure your pulling for TKC endorsed candidates, or, he will delete your posts.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Has Tony endorsed a Mayoral candidate?

  23. Every Martini to Deb Hermann11/30/10, 10:59 PM

    Drink Me!

  24. She didn't mention *anyone* by name. And there was nothing personal mentioned. She was just stating the facts about what she believes won't work and the situation as it exists. She is (so far) still running a positive campaign as far as I am concerned. I am happy to support her.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Rowland is Funk Lite and he won't carry even the fourth district. Rowland is anti-everything now, but the record shows he never met a TIF he didn't like.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Won't send a copy of the press release to you and you don't understand why????? Cuz you ain't the press bitch!!!! Think about it dumb fuck.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Everytime I see Deb in person I am pretty sure she is gonna die from smoking before she ever has a chance to get elected. Roland and Burke are both in someone's pocket. So that leaves who? Sly? Really?

It's going to be a bleak spring in KC.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Deb is hiding the truth about some pretty serious lapses in judgement on the city budget. Yes, the committee she brags about can't oversee staff because they don't have a clue beyond their pre-meeting talking points that are fed to them, what's going on. They are keeping secret what they promised Local 500 next year. You think the MAST pension will break the bank, just wait-After the election. This and other issues won't see the light of day before.

    ReplyDelete
  29. 8:13: It wasn't giving ME what I wanted--it was resolving a water leak that had been going on for months and threatened to become a safety issue for a neighborhood with cold temperatures coming. And yes, responsiveness to neighborhood and individual issues that are the city's responsibility is big on my list of expectations from elected officials whose salaries are paid for by taxpayers, and Deb was the ONLY one who responded to the leak, which was in the Fourth District. Jan Marcasson, Tony's fav Beth Gottstein (who allegedly represent the Fourth), and mayor Funky, who allegedly represents the whole city, were nowhere to be found.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 6:50 So you're saying that she is very responsive during her campaign...shocking.

    ReplyDelete
  31. 11:04: Good point, but Funky and Marcasson are also running, so why are they unresponsive?
