KCPD Chief Corwin gives a bit of background on an upcoming move to replace police cars and notes that the most well-known vehicle of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department will soon have to change.
Offer suggestions for via e-mail or facebook . . . However, if this whole E-tax thing goes the wrong way . . . I'm guessing they'll have to switch their options to bicycle brands.
While the rest of the City is cutting back and looking at layoffs KCPD finds new ways to splurge.
ReplyDeleteIf the e-tax fails, the KCPD will just use the public safety sales tax for cars instead of new buildings. It's interesting that the two tax issues will be presented to the voters at the same time.
ReplyDeleteFollow the bouncing ball!
I'm in favor of any car where the back seat is most comfortable when you have your hands handcuffed behind your back.
ReplyDeleteSo.... what happened to the 100 or so cars that were sitting in storage last year?
ReplyDelete100 New Kansas City police cars sit idle
As I recall from the follow-up stories, the cars were all placed on the streets before the end of last year. As for splurging, the PD will have no choice but to get some new cars each year as vehicles wear out or get wrecked. Some new ones will have to be purchased.
ReplyDeleteWhat about some latino Low Riders?
ReplyDeletehuh tony? dip shit
As I recall from the follow-up stories, it's a good thing that officers are now required to undergo a driver’s training course.
ReplyDeleteDriver's Training reduces crashes
No more take home police vehicles!!!!
ReplyDeleteMost studies say that take home cars are better cared for and last longer. You are misguided 9:16 PM.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the Ford Interceptor. I work for an organization with a large large fleet and we switched from a Ford platform to a Chevy platform when Ford had the lawsuit and quit making the 6.0 L diesels.
ReplyDeleteI will tell you now I miss those Fords. I think Ford makes a good product that is far superior to other domestic manufacturers. Those Chevys have been nothing but money sucking black holes.
I guarantee there will be political pressure to buy the inferior Chevy and Chrysler products. Gotta prop up that tax payer investment with more tax payer money.
ReplyDeleteAs if that makes sense.
KCPD another example of bloated government that will spend every last dime of taxpayer money. The more tax dollars you give them the more they will spend. Vote no to public safety sales tax. We need a responsible city government. NEW Cars? While new cars have been sitting in storage for over a year??
ReplyDeleteOrder them with full armor. Civil disobedience will be growing as the Obama class warfare agenda continues. Affluent shopping and entertainment districts along with nicer neighborhoods will be in the bulls eye. For proof of how one Department is preparing, look inside a Leawood squad car and see the firepower.
ReplyDeleteGive more money to an organziation that has consistently failed the public?!
ReplyDeleteWhat difference does it make? They aren't allowed to chase anyone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your 6 posts dipshit.
ReplyDeleteFord Taurus hands down...one bad ass road runner. Plenty of room for handcuffed gangsta's in the back seat.
ReplyDeleteThey have to change from Crown Vics. Ford isn't going to make them anymore.
ReplyDeleteGo with Obama smart cars.
