When the current council started out there was so much grand talk of "lady power" given the unprecedented number of women holding elected office. Sadly, all of it ended with Citizen Satisfaction for elected officials at miserably low levels.
And now . . . It's sad to see that hottie Council Lady Cathy Jolly is calling it quits.
Given that Cathy Jolly is the cutest cheerleader of the bunch, it's gonna make watching City Politics that much harder.
There's a bit more on this but it's a sad way to start the morning.

Kathy was smart and an attorney on the council. The antics of the last three years were too much to deal with. Worst mayoral leadership in history.

ReplyDeleteShe never started. She has been a joke. We have not gotten any representation in South Kansas City. Sharp is always voting for the third district and Jolly is running around in La La Land
ReplyDeleteJolly taking off will be the best thing to happen to the south side in a long time. Hopefully next time we will get more for our votes than a pretty face full of empty promises.
ReplyDeleteSharp needs an opponent too. He should move to the 3rd if he wants to focus all his time there. We have problems too. Why won't he you ask? Because the AA's that he is bent on impressing would not elect a white over a black. We need someone for a change that cares about our area. Brooks and Eddy never cared, too busy courting other people. Last people that cared were George Blackwood and Judy Swope. 6th District better get some candidates lined up or it will be more of the same and we will continue to decline without a voice.
