TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! THERESA GARZA RUIZ AND HER PRICEY PET CAUSES!!!

I like puppies just as much as anybody else despite the fact that they're dinner in so many other cultures.

Still . . . Recently, a lot of folks have noted that Jackson County Legislator Theresa Garza Ruiz has given her puppy love top priority when it comes to the Health Fund.

Check it:

Recently, more than $130k out of the Jackson County Health Fund was approved for the construction of an animal shelter facility.

The Health Fund cash normally goes to humans and emergency care e.g. stuff like the Swine Flu epidemic and so many other nasty bugs that float through this cowtown. However, Garza Ruiz was part of the crew that gave the okay to using this money for a fancy new animal hangout.

Sadly, this Animal Shelter Controversy doesn't stop here . . .

PROVING ONCE AND FOR ALL THAT SHE'S NOW A PART OF THE BROOKSIDE CORRIDOR CREW, THERESA GARZA RUIZ APPROVED A BIG PAYDAY FOR WAYSIDE WAIFS FORMER DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS COURTNEY THOMAS!!!

Remember that the people of Brookside and Waldo are a politically active and pet loving bunch BUT maybe that wasn't the motivation of Garza Ruiz . . .

Sadly, Thomas doesn't have an architectural or engineering background so I'm not sure how she earned a special place in this sweet Jackson County Contract.

What I do know is that Garza Ruiz loudly objected to money for MLK Celebrations and crime fighting funds for Alonzo Washington.

SADLY, GARZA RUIZ PLAYS A FISCAL CONSERVATIVE WHEN IT COMES TO THE MINORITY COMMUNITY BUT SEEMS EAGER TO LET LOOSE THE COUNTY PURSE STRINGS WHEN IT COMES TO A PRICEY ANIMAL SHELTER AND A FAVORITE CAUSE AMONG SO MANY BROOKSIDE AND WALDO POLITICAL DENIZENS!!!

Far be it from me to suggest that this new epoch in Jackson County leadership has its own set of priorities they want to push through in a manner that doesn't exactly speak to "reform" but only a new set of pet causes that seem to spend a lot of cash on animals from a Health Fund intended for people.

Developing . . .

  1. This bitch looks like Gloria. Only with longer hair. I wonder if her feet are nasty as well?

  2. Courtney Thomas is no longer the Director of Operations for Wayside Waifs.

  3. Tony! Theresa looks much better than that! Stop using Jeff Roe tactics. Perhaps this is payback for being ignored on the MLK and other minority issues. PLUS...if it was approved, that also means other Jackson County Legislators voted for it. Not like she approved the funding all by herself!

Theresa talks one way and votes another. She is now a political insider who traded that vote for some sort of political deal. Welcome to the good old boys club Theresa.

  6. Yep just like the so-called "ethics reforms" this cabal touts out like a stuffed toy bear. Hypocrites who make corrupt votes while bashing opponents for doing the very same thing. Thank god TKC was the main cheerleader for these criminals.... At least now you see the light and aren't blinded by the brown.
    I want my vote back!

  7. Don't worry Garza followers, TKC will take this post down as soon as Chris Medina and the TeresaGarza-LaRaza crowd call him and tell him to stay in his place!

  8. What and where is this "new animal shelter" supposed to be? Under whose auspices is it allegedly being built? And what is Ms. Thomas' alleged connection to it, given that she has no architectural experience?

  9. She's hiding 2 puppies under her shirt!

  10. ... and a queen sized mattress by the looks of it.

  11. Pet loving fanatics should be shot. Pets should not be catered too because they offer no contribution to society. They are not tax payers nor can they procreate taxpayers.

  20. Please, a new shelter in this economy?! People are living on the streets and we are building a fancy home for animals? Stupid idiots. I wish someone would pull their head out of their ass and spend the money on something more appropriate. Typical political bullshit.

  21. Emergency Care? Does Calvin driving an "emergency" vehicle and blowing his sirens to get to a Costco on time while high off his ass qualify as an emergency?

  22. Tony baggin on a person of color and a latino to boot. Whats your mama putting in your kool-aid? Maybe you're starting to wake up and see that whitey isn't the cause of all of Kansas City's problems. Or did you finally get a piece of ass?

  23. Is that the same woman as on the campaign poster?

  24. 3:46 says, "Pets should not be catered too because they offer no contribution to society. They are not tax payers nor can they procreate taxpayers."

Isn't the same true of a great many people in this town? At least pets don't go out and rob banks and stores and steal cars.

  25. Courtney Thomas is included because she is the best of the best in Kansas City when it comes to shelter operations. Architects and engineers don't necessarily know what will be in the best interest of the animals in the shelter...hence they brought in someone who would. If you want to build the best, I would assume you would want all the best people working on it.
