Phelps Clan Now A Part Of Koran Burning Hot Mess As Americans Officially Lose The Post-9/11 Moral High Ground
Terrorism is a horrible thing.
Scapegoating 1.5 billion people for the deeds of just a few is unacceptable as well.
But if we're going to play the blame game then so much attention and celebration over proposed Koran burning has saddled the American public with just a bit of complicity involved in the religious intolerance openly displayed.
While many might be quick to argue that Shirley Phelps Roper and Westboro Baptist Church or Pastor Terry Jones don't come close to representing the entire American populace with their Koran burning plans . . . In reverse and not so long ago, those same kind of arguments fell on deaf ears when they were made by Muslims in response to questions regarding terrorism.
So, to honor the memory of so many innocent people killed on 9/11 there will be multiple instances of scapegoating and intolerance directed at a huge segment of the world's population.
On 9/11 a tiny group of people will hold millions of others captive with crazy, intolerant and irresponsible actions that reflect horribly on the culture that has made their deeds possible . . . And this time, it's American culture that will offend people from around the world.

Oh we lost the moral high ground when it was discovered GWB had no legitimate reason to go to war in Iraq. Many many more civilians have died in Iraq than on 9-11. Hell, more CHILDREN have died in Iraq than died in NYC on 9-11.
