Kansas City Housing Authority Board Appointed In Spite Of Mayor Funky!!!

Mayor Funky never learned how to do appointments during his tenure. He also took FOREVER to reveal his choices. Sadly, a judge had to become involved to get the latest housing board approved: "Jeffrey Lines, the court-appointed special master for the housing authority, announced the appointments Monday with the approval of U.S. District Judge Dean Whipple."

TKC Fun Fact: I know for a fact that at least three of the new appointees are supporting somebody other than Co-Mayor Funky for Mayor in the upcoming election.

  1. Their job isn't to support one mayoral candidate or another, it's to try to fix the Housing Authority Board and provide decent housing for many residents of the city.
Why does EVERYTHING have to degenerate into a cheesy meaningless political game?

  2. The Co-mayors have not carried out the duties of mayor. The worst mayoral administration in the history of KC.

Oh STFU squit!!!!! Damn, but your bitch just won't do his job! he is getting paid to show up and do some work! That office of his costs the city 1 million dollars and not one damn person in that office is willing to tell the fucker to shut up and do his job.
Most of the staffers were hired based on IF THEY COULD GET ALONG WITH FAT ASS GLORIA SQUITIRO!
Most are making just under 100K a year to tell squit that she is smart and pretty.
Our Housing Authority was out of receivership, but now a Federal Judge has to do funk'd's job so lower income residents get decent housing? How does that play across this city? In these times? What a bastard.
You would think self interest would have got him to appoint a board. He will be out of office ad out of a job. He will land in Section 8 housing pretty damn quick. No Joke.

  4. The Housing Authority has been in receivership far to long and the recent appointee's to this board are nothing more than flunkies for the "special master". The current board quit because the receiver would not allow them to govern. This man has put his children through college and has made millions off the backs of the poor. He has no incentive to correct the problems and keeps an inept staff to ensure his services are needed. The Mayor's inaction is appalling as is the leadership, the receiver and the judge overseeing this dysfunctional organization.

  5. Can you imagine what city services the co-mayors annual salary of $100K plus an administrative budget of $1 million+ could be better used instead of supporting these lackluster buffoons and emperor & queen without clothes!

  6. Wow 10:06. Right on. Our Co-mayors have cost us 10 million this term. Lawsuits, city legal expenses, lost conventions, over paid staff, lost jobs, etc etc.

  7. The co-mayors want to appoint regular folks. Thats great! This board needs some experience. Im sorry regular folks dont have the experience to deal with the complex issues. Real estate, lending, govt statues, landlord tenant issues, tenants rights, etc, etc. This administration doesnt have one ounce of a clue.
