If there's one thing the KCMSD has proven beyond a doubt it's that more money will not solve its problems. When they sell off their surplus real estate and show some progress, I'll think about voting for a tax increase. Until then it's just throwing good money after bad.

ReplyDeleteI will not vote for an increase in taxes for the upkeep. 17,000 students and this district has$247.7 million to spend? Our city budget is $1,308,329,810 for all of KC. Yes there are buildings to keep warm and cooled, repaired and cleaned. Staff to pay etc. But Good God Almighty... $247.7 Million for 17,000 kids and shrinking. no damn way!
