TKC TO MAKE ENDORSEMENTS!!!

Melissa Archer

Just a blogging note to put you d-bags on notice.

I don't mind bragging but this blog is one of the best sources of gonzo journalism in Kansas City. It's not even bragging really to note a fact, but I find that only people with a low regard for themselves (and Catholics) are uncomfortable with a bit of self-promotion.

Anyhoo . . .

On advice from a trusted friend and a few other folks I've decided that it's a pussy move to avoid making political endorsements.

TKC reports facts, provides analysis and posts photos of scantily clad babes.

BUT HOLDING BACK ON ENDORSING POLITICAL CANDIDATES IS A COP OUT!!!

What'll be interesting to me is if a TKC Endorsement is a "Kiss of Death" or something that might give a candidate an extra boost.

Still . . .

The Star does endorsements despite their claims of objectivity.

KMBC's Wayne Godsey is out there broadcasting his opinions.

And "journalism" in the digital age has already proven that so-called objectivity is nothing more than a myth.

It's really not that big of a step considering that this blog is already labeled "opinion" at the top of the page.

And it's also important to note that, I'm willing to listen to ANYBODY regarding important Kansas City topics and no other news-ish source can claim to present the variety of perspectives that TKC compiles on any given day.

But backing off outright support of a candidate was just a caustic move in order to highlight The Star's hypocrisy when it comes to political endorsements
. So I'm dumping it as a natural "evolution" of my writing.

Now, The TKC Endorsement is now part of the Kansas City political mix as a not-so-insignificant development and really a service to readers to see where this blog stands.

I don't have a policy yet for endorsements and there will be a question as to timing, any suggestions from you d-bags would be appreciated and I'm not against having TKC READER ENDORSEMENTS as well.

But the fun of mocking The Star feigning objectivity when they pretty much gave the last election to Mayor Funky has now grown stale and we'll have to come up with new ways to entertain ourselves . . . For instance, I'm already willing to support the notion that my homegirl Beth Gottstein would make the BEST addition to the cast of the Twilight Series and all of those chic Hollywood denizens.

Still . . .

For tonight, I only want to offer my firm endorsement and support to Melissa Archer and the photo gallery of her fabulous boob top.

Comments

  1. I endorse boobs, not Tony, as well.

  2. All that bullshit for Beth? Not a pix of her but of some hooker with big boobs? Why do you support her?

Didn't even put her name in BOLD! and put her in the category of your overused 'denizens'?

You cheapen your own political endorsements to 12th street stage strippers!

One minute you tell us to take you seriously and the next minute you turn yourself into a cartoon. So are you a joke blog or a serious one?

jeez, Tony. I'm sure you'll get lots of notes from Beth on how much she appreciates your, uh, ENDORSEMENT! So what are you going to give her?

A ten dollar certificate at Taco Loco? Were you trying to be FUNNY? All the bandwidth you devote to politics and you now try to write a very long joke?

Is this Blogo suicide? "Uh for all my inches of TKC AWESOME, its all just a big joke??

So are you endorsing Melissa Archer, Beth Gottstein, or Lady Gaga?

  3. Gonzo? Journalism? Neither. You are totally delusional. HST is rolling in his grave. You have a BLOG, sir. Which makes you no more Gonzo or a journalist than my left testicle. But nice try.

  4. Looking forward to your it!

  5. Tony, you have lost all cred. KMBC big boss Wayne hides behind his JOCO gated community sucking down Gin and Tonics with his weekly critique of KC. Beth has dropped out of sight and is uninterested these days. Youre 0-2 in your endorsements.

  6. Cardarella means an end to dirty politics7/6/10, 10:30 PM

Endorse Chyanne Lockhart Cardarella, who is the real Democrat running for state rep in Independence and East Kansas City.

Do not choose the pony-boy of Paul Levota and Mike Sanders who is running against Chyanne. Only Paul Levota is really pushing for this hack because a deal has been cut for Chyanne's opponent not to run for the Callahan senate seat/

We need a fresh face in government, who actually has experience in the government.

  7. This crapsite is to "journalism" what Gloria Squitiro is to Hooter's girls. Just shut up, dickhead, and keep posting links to those the big-titted white women. That's as close to Edward R. Murrow as you're going to get.

  8. Tony has been making endorsements since at least the last election in April.

  9. who did he endorse?

  10. Anne will succeed in PUSHING Beth out of the race.

  11. Funk will win!

    Sorry Tony.

Mr. Squitiro's chances don't look very good to me. Tell your boss to change his name, because I'm tired of having the Funkhouser name dragged through the mud. His children are named Squitiro because Gloria thinks she's better than us. Yeah right. She & he are not good enough for the name FUNKHOUSER.

  13. "TKC reports facts..." HA!! Sometimes... maybe. I agree with 8:17 p.m.

You'd better hope Tony your "endorsees" want your nod of approval... or is it "bob" of approval?

  14. Gonzo Journalism???? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Are you fucking kidding me?

  15. Is Chyanne Lockhart Cardarella related to the mobster Anthony Cardarella?? good choice... Melissa Archer looks amazing

Stand in line tony boy... Maybe some of us out here will do the same. Quite the cacophony!

Let me go real retro and "endorse" Anna Lisa Zapien Pena! I like the flow of her name.......

  17. Melissa, may I say you have a very nice rack.

  18. Nice tits.

  19. Tony while people love to hate you on the comment pages, I think your endorsements will not be a kiss of death because people know that you pretty much call it like it is.

The Star board is bought off and everyone knows it.

  20. Personally, I look forward to seeing whom TKC endorses. Although, methinks it will have negligible impact on the votes for/against any candidate. After all, how much effect can the two-dozen regulars on here have? The only suggestion I have for your 'policy' is that you make clear whether you have received anything of value from any candidate you are endorsing. (This would include money, food, blow jobs, etc.)
Not saying you can't endorse someone who's made you better off, but be honest about it.
Oh, one more thing: could you find a way to make sure Radioman either takes his meds or is off the sauce before posting? I really, really, really tried to make sense of his rant, but I am too sober/sane apparently.
