TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! TALK OF DISTRICT 40 CANDIDATE WILL ROYSTER ECHOING GOP LINE ABOUT CLOSED BORDERS DURING NORTHEAST FORUM!!

Looks like Latino influence in Northest is getting more important in the electoral process every day.

After a early aftertoon phone call and then a couple more followup calls from TKC . . . I found out an interesting tidbit regarding a recent Missouri House District 40 Debate . . .

THERE IS CHATTER ON THE NORTHEAST THAT DISTRICT 40 CANDIDATE WILL ROYSTER CALLED FOR CLOSED BORDERS AND PROSECUTION OF THE UNDOCUMENTED IN A RECENT DEBATE!!!

Royster supporters say that's not what happened but we'll get to that later . . .

Now here's the gossip. . . The way these comments have been understood: Veiled hard line viewpoints against the undocumented are typical fine for a Republican candidate but Will is running as a Democrat in a Democrat district. The Dems have taken up calling for "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" so Royster isn't even on the same page as his party. Even better . . .

BECAUSE OF ROYSTER'S (ALLEGED) STANCE AGAINST THE UNDOCUMENTED HE HAS LOST A GREAT DEAL OF SUPPORT AMONG A GREAT MANY LATINO DENIZENS OF THE NORTHEAST!!!

I'm not saying that Royster doesn't have a right to his own views . . . BUT, the way these comments have been understood, then folks are thinking that he's a Republican in disguise and being disingenuous. Finally, it's simply not fair in terms of representation, that the growing number of Latinos in the Northeast are represented by a guy whom a great many people believe is basically declaring war on their community.

Now . . . From the Royster camp: They straight up deny these claims that have sparked a Northeast ruckus. They note Royster's campaign manager Chris Moreno is Latino and his staff is bilingual. Royster's "official" position is that that he wants to defend the rights of Northeast workers, he wants to crack down on businesses that exploit undocumented workers AND he stands against the racial profiling component of the Arizona law. Read between the lines on all of these statements . . . TKC Real Talk: He can't have it both ways. On this one, there is no keeping the white Gentrification Northeast crowd happy and courting the Latino merchants and so many Latino residents at the same time.

Bottom Line: If Royster is going to run using GOP lines or even complicated word play . . . Then he should simply switch parties. However, what's really interesting to TKC is the fact that the Latino perspective, support and influence is now a crucial element of a Northeast election. Natch.

Comments

  1. John Rizzo is a predatory lender that exploits Latino families with 1000% interest rates. Shame on him.

    ReplyDelete
  2. So he forces lenders to take loans? He hunts them down and makes them get these loans?

Yeah, right. Does the phrase 'personal responsibility' have a place in your world? Because it does in mine. Maybe people shouldn't get these loans.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Its interesting this is such an issue, since the great many Latino denizens can't actually vote because they have BROKEN THE LAW to get here.

    ReplyDelete
  4. You're crazy if you think only Republicans want the borders secured and immigration laws enforced.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Royster wouldn't be representing Mexicans, he'd be representing Americans. A vast majority of Americans want the borders secured and the laws enforced.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The Mexicans DO have representation, but it's back in their hometowns in Mexico.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Is Rizzo for enforcing U.S. law or not?

    ReplyDelete
  8. JJ Rizzo is so lame. He's going around to all the Latino businesses telling them that Royster is a racist. Anything to patch his own sinking ship. Royster by a landslide.

    ReplyDelete
  9. The entire Rizzo family is filth. They are liars. They attack a Union member like Will Royster, but they claim to be pro-Union. At the same time, Rizzo and the Committee for County Progress-CCP use a SCAB printer to produce an endorsement mailer. The Goddamn thing has a bug on it but it is not from the printers union. The CCP is run by Dick Rhyne who fixed the CCP vote against Crystal Williams and Royster.

Nothing but crooks and frauds in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Agreed fuck Rizzo if he won't stand with law abiding Americans. Thanks Tony for the info I'm writing my first check to Royster now. Hang em high and send em home!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I was at the debate, errr, I mean, blow-out of JJ by Royster. Will said he wants to crack down on employers and he does not want racial profile to be the guide. Only a sad-sack campaign would try to manufacture a "new truth".

    ReplyDelete
  12. You know, a lot of people don't care if something is printed by union members or not. I certainly don't care.

I hope you use union people to do all your work at home, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Reading this, I have learned that a person can't be for securing the borders and be a Democrat too. Interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I didnt know Roysters was a Republican.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Chris Moreno is getting 8000 a month thats not a sign he like latinos. That a business deal .

    ReplyDelete
  16. I am an involved resident in the NE, and I am a democrat. But I use to complain all the time that the neighborhood association was too white and middle class. So we tried this and that to get the minorities involved (mostly hispanic), but the bottom line is they don't get it. They are afraid to be involved because someone might find out they broke the law. Maybe they shouldn't break the law then. We in the NE have to deal with so much littering and gangs from people who hate their own country so much they sneak into ours, and then treat ours likes it a third world they came from.

    ReplyDelete
  17. 4:15pm So is JJ paying Latinos to put up his own signs.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Moreno is a Whore7/22/10, 4:18 PM

My God, Moreno is renting his pigment to a bigot. Kind of like a Jew helping the Nazis load a box car.

    Shame on you Chris.

NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico – Late-night gunbattles with gangs who forced citizens from their cars and used the vehicles to block streets paralyzed a border city, sound of gunfire alarmed Texans on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande.

  20. Seriously if you would go back and forcefully take your country and eliminate the drug thugs, and put some integrity into your government you will be successful and build yourselves a great country you can be proud of instead of RUNNING FROM IT !!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Keep saying "Royster in a landslide," maybe if you keep saying it over and over it might come true. And if you click your heels three times you can get back home to Wisconsin Will.

Don't worry it will all be over soon. Then all you will have to worry about is paying Chris Moreno for absolutely tanking your campaign.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It's plain and simple to see: Royster supporters don't like Latinos.

Sorry Chris, try again. But cash the checks anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 4:25pm - You smell like Macaroni al Serrone

    ReplyDelete
  24. Rizzo caught in a lie. If there is one thing Latino's hate, it's liars like JJ.

It looks like there are a lot of Latino's who have been exploited by his payday loan company. This should be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think a lot of you are missing the point; 2 nights ago the political forum was 2 hours long, and there was 1 question about illegal immigrants, towards the end. It never comes up in neighborhood meetings, cliff drive meetings, chamber of commerce meetings. The citizens don't sit here and worry about it except for the comments of those who occasionally ask if we can work with ICE more. Being involved in NE is about our public assets (keeping them clean from the litterbugs) and improving them - parks, museum, historic cemeteries, ballfields. Its about maintain the integrity of historic homes. Its about encouraging small business. Not creating a way for a bunch of illegal migrants to be made legal.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I dont know either candidate but live in downtown. I took the time to look up both candidates state required financials. Neither one has any interest or ownership in payday or title loan companys. I know politics is dirty but the lies are amazing in this one.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I don't live in the Northeast area but I am a loyal TKC reader(you kick ass Tony) but the comments that I have read on this blog after posts about Will Royster are very homophobic, racist, and just plain nasty. They are always directed at the Rizzo family and are ALWAYS distasteful.

I hope Mr. Royster loses this election because we have enough white elitists in Jefferson City from the rural parts of Missouri, we don't need another. Maybe Mr. Royster can move to the boot hill of Missouri and represent them, it seems more realistic.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Will we know you hate hispanics you can stop with the postings.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Latinos don't like liars, except if they're lying about their immigration status.

I was at the Debate he said it and i walked out .

  31. If he's a Republican, he's a real shitty one. If he had talked tough on immigration my ears would have perked up. He said what an experienced liberal politician is groomed to say; campaign more conservatively than you plan to govern.

70%+ Americans want to enforce immigration laws and you can't get 70% of anyone to agree on a pizza topping.

I definitly agree that Royster is more conservative than Rizzo; most of Rizzo's positions are general pie-in-the-sky utopian talking points. And I didn't hear much difference in either of their positions, just less specifics from Rizzo.

    Royster is no Republican.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Kansas City needs a Little Mexico part of town. White people not permitted. Seriously they wouldn't jive with the lifestyle at all anyway even if they we're permitted to live there.

    ReplyDelete
  33. JJ Rizzo doesnt hate latinos, he hates anyone in the community who does stuff. Why else would he practically never show up to anything and DEFINITELY not actually be involved? Will might support the law and you can twist that into he hates mexicans (you are wrong), but JJ just hates everyone. He fits the definition of an elitist.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Diversity . . I got news for ya cultures and lifestyles clash regardless of "diversity" quotas that's a FACT.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The Rizzo family is spending an awful lot of money on their campaigns that comes from union dues. They and their supporters had sure has hell better be using union printers.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Areas where Democrats have been in solid control for years tend to be garden spots, heaven on earth.

    Take Jackson County for example.

    ReplyDelete
  37. El Bryan i know democrats all live in $500000 mansions

    ReplyDelete
  38. And drive Mercedes

    ReplyDelete
  39. That CCP ballot is not union printed. It has a bug but not a printers union bug. The printer that misused a bug is asking for a steaming hot pile of legal mess left in their mail box.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thank you 4:33...or should we say Scarritt President and Royster shill Adam Schieber! I certainly hope Royster and Moreno are payin you good for the amount of time you spend huddled up in campaign strategy meetings at casa Royster and appearing on Royster campaign literature.

    Greg Walters, Owner

He is in a shit load of legal trouble for faking a union shop.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Who cares if CCP or anyone else uses non-union, but fraud is a different story.

    ReplyDelete
  45. That SCAB printing company is also printing Will Royster mailers. Are they still bad or is it one of those it's ok for me but not for you?

    ReplyDelete
  46. 4:17 and 4:33 both make intelligent obervations.

4:53; I wasn't aware that you could determine someone's political affiliation by the size of their home. Also, the most expensive home on Gladstone probably runs about $350,000, and I'm pretty sure that Royster's home has been in their family since it was built. I don't claim to know his financials and I honestly don't care.

    ReplyDelete
  47. El Bryan, just curious are you a democrat or republican? If you are neither which way do you lean?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Roysters is a racist bigot. Sorry thats the label.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Unions are a legend in their own stupid little minds.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Johnny Joe hired his wife for election time. She smells like a cocktail bar (not that I don't LOVE the way she smells). He looks like he belongs in a prep school quartet. She could really party hearty and looks like she just woke up from a rough night out most days. I wonder if JJ has ever had more than a non-alcoholic beer. Maybe a wine cooler but that's when he had his drunk driving offense?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Well, I THINK..wait, Ohhhhhh I need to shit. I'll be back later to give my opinion on this.

    ReplyDelete
  52. This election will be Royster in a landslide.

    Plain and simple.

    ReplyDelete
  53. No Mas Chris, No Mas.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hey, 7:37 - Wow, Union boy. Or gurl. I didn't know that "FUCKYOU" was a word by itself. Normally there is a space between the verb and the subject. So, I must reiterate my point, but with a clarification: Certain members of Unions are Legends (intentionally capitalized) in their own stupid little minds.

    ReplyDelete
  55. 5:50; I tend to lean libertarian but I'm pro-life. I voted for Mike Huckabee in 2008 but I support gay marriage.

8:11; I believe you are right.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh my word TKC, once the news hits tomorrow, you are going to HAVE to take a stance on the correct side of this race, shame on you for taking so long, but we know you are stupid so we don't blame you. We blame your mom.

  57. The Truth Merchant7/22/10, 10:46 PM

What news is that . Oh I know Royster is a bi- polar nut job that changes his position to suit whatever fancy he has at the time. You said what your position is .Sorry

    ReplyDelete
  58. Tony, not true. I was there. They are lieing and its disgusting that Rizzo thinks he can take advantage of the immigrant communities like that.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Unions would be nothing without their bullying, extortionist methods. Screw them.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Will you said it you changed your position tonite because it hurt you , but you hate hispanics. You gun carrying redneck.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Tony you shouldn't have posted this before fact checking. John Rizzo is going around with three people who weren't at either forum and are saying that they were and are lieing to scare Latino business owners and families on Independence Ave into putting up signs.

That's the real deal no B.S. You've been played my friend.

    ReplyDelete
  62. i was actually in a restaurant on independence avenue when John Rizzo's team walked in and lied gave their scare speech so I can say that 12:23 is 100% correct.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Someone from the Rizzo camp is lieing to ya Tony. Aguas.

    ReplyDelete
  64. 5:08 PM - I stopped by the Royster house the other night, and Adam Scheiber was there, and so was Morino. Will's family and Morino and his family were all gathered around Adam listening to him espouse ideals and preach strategy and it was like a spiritual experience. Morino offered to let Adam run the campaign and he would stick around doing stuff for free to help out, but he just wanted to be a part of what Scheiber was leading. For what its worth, I would drink his coolaid.

  65. I'm for open borders. Regardless of where I live in KC (or even if I live in Overland Park), I ought to get to vote in any KCMO district. If you say I can't, you're a racist!

    ReplyDelete
  66. JJ Rizzo was so upset last night when Royster showed all the neighborhood mailing lists with hundreds of people on them - and JJ Rizzo no where to be found. He was squirmin' like a worm! JJ is a dirty cheap crook who tried and gets elected based on his name and Daddy. got news for ya JJ - not gonna happen in the Northeast!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Is that the same list that you had on signs that are all gone. Will lists don't vote. Moreno keep getting that money.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I don't think Will uses lists; he just stops by to talk to his friends and neighbors, he's got a lot of them (JJ might too up north). Its funny that when Royster's organic sign placing campaign got up and running, Rizzo, Serrone, Lasagna and Company got all spazzed out like Show-Up when he sees his own shadow on a summer day and were jamming 20 signs a yard and then made up a bunch of lies and tried to get all these independence avenue businesses to switch their signs, but the crooks just TOTALLY fucked themselves forever with the way they played this one. Haha, silly little dumb crooks.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yep. Just talked to another immigrant business owner who was told by the Rizzo camp that they would be deported if Rizzo isn't elected. Pathetic.
