Show-Me Ongoing Military Tragedy

The Star: Swelling suicide rate stings Missouri National Guard

Comments

  1. Not just increased suicides throughout the military, but we just buried two local soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan.
None of us should be surprised at any of the results of all the sacrifice and stress of our military when just one per cent of the US population engage in all of our poorly-defined adventures around the world and rotate into places like Iraq or Afghanistan over and over again while the rest of us argue about cuttting taxes and show how supportive we supposedly are by putting "Support the Troops" magnets on our SUVs.
If we reinstituted the draft and raised taxes to pay for all these adventures, we'd finally have a serious public discussion of what this imperialsm is really all about and you'd find that the troops would be home in notime.

Holy crap!!! I thought I had posted in my sleep.
The only ones at war are our citizen soldiers and their families. God help us if every citizen had to pull their own weight in a war. We can't even lose our fat asses.

I hope and pray that our military families know that some of us are trying our best to ease their load.
