The Star: Aretha Franklin to kick off one-year countdown of new performing arts center
There's cause to celebrate, a legendary singer will perform for a district losing millions every year and a parking lot this town is building for a post private building . . . Sadly, no matter the big names brought in to celebrate, even Dionne Warwick can see this is mostly about horrible, local financial decisions.

It's a link to the Star. The Star always gets scooped.
ReplyDeleteI don't get your "post private building" pun or whatever it is the phrase is attempting to be, but would you rather have the city paying for the building too? God forbid PRIVATE enterprise exist and only ask for a sliver of what is being given to sports teams and developers.

Also, technically "...a legendary singer will perform IN a district losing millions every year FOR a parking lot this town is building..."
