The Star rounds up stories reported better on this blog but still offers a nice synthesis: Campaigning for Jackson County Legislature has become hard-fought, high-dollared . . . Sadly, the politically active contingent in Kansas City Proper is mostly playing for themselves given that NOBODY really wants the public at large involved . . . Because they aren't as easily controlled.

I do not see your boy Henry Rizzo knocking on many doors Tony. It is Henry who is hoping for low turnout.
ReplyDeleteRizzos thrive - in fact, exist - only because of inattention by the media, a lethargic public, and low voter turn out. Negative ads drive down turnout. That's the strategy. The Democratic Party "Leaders" are sheep, watching the wolves feed, and doing little or nothing to clean house.
ReplyDeleteI see Rizzo signs all over. From Lee Summit to Fort Osage and the corridor. He is running a grass roots campaign.
ReplyDeleteCrystal supporter above. If you would look outside the corridor you would know just how much he has been knocking. I live in Raytown he was at my door Sat.
ReplyDeleteIt's the County who cares.
ReplyDeleteGlad the Star used Riley's picture to expose him.
ReplyDeleteHis slogan / time for a change /
Okay that change would be to get his a** out of politics he has worn out his welcome.
He is a disgrace to our community
Crystal doesn'Have to knock doors she took the money. When you sell your services as a lobbyist they do the work for you. Thanks Daddy Jim.
ReplyDeleteHenry Rizzo running a grassroots campaign? The last grassroots campaign he ever ran, people were dug up in gardens.
ReplyDeleteHe hasn't knocked on a door in years. His signs are out in Raytown and Lee's Summit because Bob Spence and Fred Arbanas are asking friends to put them out with their signs.
DAHHH 10:07 - Since when do you think Spense and Arbanas would spend time asking permission to put Rizzo signs up? That is not going to happen. Rizzos people are taking advantage of any location in the county where signs are placed no matter who the candidate is.
ReplyDeleteSince I saw both of them putting signs up.
ReplyDeleteRizzo is paying people in the Westport area to put his sign in their yards.
ReplyDeleteOutside of Westport, there are huge number of Rizzo Signs on public property. But in yards? Not so much.
He has also paid Michael Gray, Pat's unemployable brother, to put signs in yards along Ward Parkway.
Crystals not doing so well I understand . Of course her selling her seat for 10000, is better than paying campaign workers.
