Kansas City Rejects BP Propaganda

Local boycotts are working because PR doesn't really help clean up the worst eco-disaster in human history.

WDAF LINK: Metro BP Station Owners Feel Pinch from Oil Spill

Also, arguments about the boycott hurting small biz as a reason to keep buying from BP are usually disingenuous when coming from the same people who want to deport the clerks at these local stations. But, in the end I'm not about telling people where to shop . . . It's simply nice to see the "support small biz" arguement used in defense of a company that helped to choke off the economy at every level this summer when they weren't simply contributing the the general quotient of American misery as if they were a blogger.

  1. BP products should also be boycotted--incluing Castrol motor oil, AM/PM convenience stores, and more....

  2. That's a typical reactionary/purposeless response. But whatever makes you feel like Che and Down With The Cause.

  4. Since the spill, I have made a conscious effort to PATRONIZE BP stations. It isn't the fault of the station owners and their employees.

  5. Obama should be boycotted because he was one of the biggest recipients of campaign contributions from big oil. Maybe that's why the Administration had such a pitiful response to the oil spill.

  6. You're doing a heckuva job, Obammie.

Nah, it'll be a lot easier to fool you numb nuts with a couple of flashy commercials during Dancing With the Stars and maybe a logo change.

You chose to or not vist a BP station, but remember 1. They are a company based out of London and
    2. if they declair bankruptcy the company becomes untouchable. Just food for thought. Also, if BP goes under who will pay for the oil clean up?

  11. 7:41, don't waste your common sense logic on these stupid hippies. Everyone that drives a car powered by gas or diesel is to blame just as much as BP. That includes me. Which is why I don't bitch. This is part of drilling for oil. Shit happens, shit spills, and that's that.
