J-Dub Takes On Prop C

My favorite Missouri political blogger calls Prop C "a political grandstand by the Republican legislature against the recent health care bill based by Congress." Check out his perspective and decide for yourself.

  1. I don't care. If I lived in MO, I would vote for it. The federal government needs to be put in its place. Hopefully, Obama care will be found unconstitutional. They're already having to argue that the mandate is, indeed, a tax.

    I don't like Obama's hopey change.

  2. This legislation simply protects the rights of Missourians to choose their own health care products and services without fear of facing fines or imprisonment. The measure expands options, not limits them to the choices made on your behalf by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama. When you vote YES for Prop. C, you are choosing to preserve and protect your FREEDOM to make your own health care choices. With a YES vote for Prop C, you are choosing to tell the federal government that you and your children will not be forced to buy a product hand-picked by Washington bureaucrats.

You can still have the federally mandated healthcare if you choose. That's all this is, an OPT OUT for those who don't want to be forced into the federal government's healthcare program. Freedom of choice, not dictated care. How can that be so wrong??

  3. Have you read Prop C? It actually makes it constitutional for companies to deny healthcare coverage and cancel the coverage they have on the books. Not a lot of people are going to be anti-obamacare when that happens are they? But then again it will be a lot harder to fix once it's constitutional won't it?
