TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! CAN THE GRAY/GLORIOSO SLATE BEAT THE COMPETITION?!?!?

So, Kansas City's old school political power players have a slate in up coming races packed with candidates who are serious contenders.

The question:

IS KANSAS CITY WITNESSING A CONSULTING RENAISSANCE AS PAT GREY/STEVE GLORIOSO ONCE AGAIN SEEM TO BE THE BIGGEST POLITICAL PLAYERS IN TOWN?!?!?!

Check out the slate and judge their chances for yourself.

Anne McGregor
- This candidate for the 4th District At-Large seat has already papered the town with signs using the same slogan as The Heaves did in their victorious City Hall campaign. And while my heart, loyalty and eternal devotion lies with current Council lady Beth Gottstein, I'm so dumb that I won't consider McGregor as a serious threat. While Glorioso is staying out of this race, there is a definite connection between Gray, McGregor and the strategy of her campaign according to TKC TIPSTERS.

Terry Riley Runs For Jackson County Legislature With Support From The Heavies - Actually, I like Riley's chances in this race. He already convinced the AFL-CIO to stand down and he could SERIOUSLY shake things up in County Government. Glorioso and Riley are pals and, unless there are any surprises, this looks like a slam dunk . . . For the moment. UPDATE: However, it's important to note that Steve Glorioso says that he's not officially working on this campaign.

Jim Rowland relies on Pat Gray and Steve Glorioso expertise - This Mayoral Candidate thinks of himself as the front runner and he's had an impressive fundraising round starting out. The July Campaign Finance report will tells us a lot about who stands where . . . However . . . Mayoral Contenders are taking this guy seriously.

So . . . Glorioso and Gray are set to be back in business in a major way if these candidates stay winning. So far, their slate seems to have a pretty good chance even if Kansas City has heretofore been unaware of who is moving the media puppet strings in these races.

Developing . . .

  2. Anne McGregor? Getting harder to take seriously.

Does she HAVE a platform? ...I mean OTHER THAN bashing the fact that people will be paying more for sewer services? Like, she'd rather have EPA dictate a timetable and fee rates?

It's not good when someone who would try to convince you she's "progressive" STARTS OUT with demagoguery.

Note to Jan Marcason: watch out for McGregor's back-stabs!

  3. I don't know anyone who supports Beth--despite what they may say to her face. When they go into the voting booth, it will be another story. I mean allegedly.

  4. Tony your Beth support is silly.

  5. The only thing we are seeing is a political handout. People hire Grey because he is Grey not because he wins. He doesn't win. If his candidates win it will be because of who they are, not because of him.

  6. 8:00, you nailed it. Both of those men (and I use the term loosely) are losers. Disgusting, too.

  7. It is my understanding that Chris Moreno and not Steve Glorioso will lead Terry Riley to victory.
