Tonight, Kansas City is expected to earn a major victory with the announcement of the MLB All-Star hosted in this town for 2012.
Unfortunately, might show up looking like a hypocrite.
A very THOUGHTFUL AND DETAIL ORIENTED KICKASS TKC TIPSTER noticed Gloria Squitiro list "Major League Baseball Announcement!!! Kauffman Stadium 6:30 p.m." as one of the Mayor's appearances in her weekly newsletter.
IF MAYOR FUNKY SHOWS UP AT THE K TONIGHT THEN HE'S A TOTAL HYPOCRITE GIVEN THAT HE'S BEEN ARGUING AGAINST STADIUM FUNDING FOR YEARS!!!
This is just another example of a local politico playing both sides of the fence, Mayor Funky showing up and trying to spin this event his way is a duplicitous move that doesn't pass the smell test. The only consolation is that when the All-Star game comes to town, the Funkhouser and his Co-Mayor wife will be out of office.

KC Expected To Get 2012 All-Star Game
Boycott all appearances of that loser--and I don't mean Bud Selig, (Although....)
ReplyDeleteha.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is truly amazing...his duplicity is shocking even for a politician desperate to hang on to the only meaningful thing in his life.
ReplyDeleteDon't boo the mayor. It will reflect badly upon Kansas City. The mayor won't get a second term. Just be polite and relish the fact we are getting the All-Star Game.
ReplyDeleteAnother promise kept. When the right wingers and anti progress forces on talk radio were urging a no vote (like Darla Jaye and Scott Parks) on the sales tax to renovate the two stadiums they said campaign officials were lying when they said we would get an All Star game and all the millions of dollars that brings. Well here it comes and within two years of the completion of the renovations.
ReplyDeleteBig difference between a fan of baseball and a fan of subsidies for stadiums. Glass makes a pretty penny for putting forth a poor product for so many years!
ReplyDeleteKendrick shut up. Funk is a fan of Gloria's feet and this appearance is disgusting.
ReplyDeleteTony's such a d-bag.
ReplyDeletetrue dat.
ReplyDeleteThe duly elected person in charge of the city should be shown proper decorum. Crybabies with a website should work to get their own selves elected instead of whining on and on about who were elected.
ReplyDeleteUntil you can get voted in you should probably go find your Mommy and cry to her.
Results count. Whiners end up whacking off in frustration. Whiners will cry every day of the year regardless.
Nothing is ever good enough for them since they are never good enough for anyone else.
TKC and his fans=losers in life.

ReplyDeleteBlah, Blah, Blah. Nobody's a loser in life. This is not a game.
Booing people is strictly boorish, rude, gutter behavior, so it comes as no surprise Tony's advocating it. It knew it was Tony when I saw the headline: "Please Boo Kansas City's Co-Mayor At The K"
ReplyDeleteReally tacky, Tony, even by your low standards.
lets see here! getting elected yourself. Remember that Co-Mayors.
