The current digital era in media is changing the way news is disseminated. KMBC reporter Kris Ketz has been a local leader in adapting to new technologies and making the local Internet a better place.
Without question @KrisKetz is one of the top local news sources online and now his work is being recognized on a national level.
A RECENT ARTICLE IN TRADE MAG 'BROADCASTING AND CABLE' RANKS KRIS KETZ AS ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL TV NEWS PEOPLE USING TWITTER NATIONWIDE!!!
It's a great recognition of his work and it's not about simply rehashing news content. What makes Ketz so interesting to follow is that he'll hit back people with @ replies which is something that most news organizations don't do. Additionally, it's rather refreshing that he's the same guy online as he is in real life as he is on the Internet . . . That's something that can't be taught and it's why so many newsies seem scared of where news gathering is headed while Ketz stays winning with new tech.
Way to go, Ketz!
ReplyDeleteGood job, Kris. I enjoy your Twitter accounts-- very informative and useful.
ReplyDeleteLesson for TKC. Quantity AND quality can happen. Not for you of course. Lots of dreck in your dumps.
ReplyDeleteIt's just TEEVEE show biz. Every time I"ve seen Ketz out in the real world, he's seemed detached, not interested in regular folks, and I think he's just a media animal. He ain't EVEN one of us! He's all about Kris Ketz Channel 9 guy.
ReplyDeleteDon't EVEN fall for the media persona that he's a regular guy. He ain't. "KRIS KETZ" is just a show business product. A performer through & through. We aren't looking at the real HIM, if that's even his real name!
He may have a real HIM out in Johnson County with his wife and kids and nice house and soccer Saturday mornings, but we don't see it publicly.
That's okay, but let's not pretend we know this guy! We don't at all!
