Kansas City Area Conservative Hypocrisy

Ancillary Adams has some really keen insights into the latest instance of Conservative name-calling revealing a shocking bit of hypocrisy. As the dude calling other folks "parasites" took more than $1 Million from the Government.

Meanwhile, I notice very few people in KC Proper complaining about Obama Cash we all so desperately want and need.

  1. I have worked full-time for the past 35 years (except for the 4 months I took off after my younger son was born). I cannot afford to retire. I have paid into the system for all of these years, yet have NEVER qualified for even one penny of government help. And I have NEVER received a subsidy or food stamps or unemployment or any of the stuff supposedly being given away left and right.

Where's MY gummint subsidy, you frickin' parasite farmer? I've paid and paid and paid and paid and....

  2. Oh you will get your tax dollars back and LOTS MORE when you go on social security.

So you need to be quiet and look forward to getting to sit back and relax and still get a third of your income for the rest of your life.

Trust me, it's great to sit back, relax and then find something else to do (when youre finally rested) because you WANT to, not because you HAFTO!

You'll be so glad for the govt SS because at this point, you're pretty darned tired! Feel sorry for your kids who will have to wait til they're 70 and they're way past tired. They're exhausted.

I noticed that the Star thought that the farmer receiving subsidies was NEWS. I understand the issue of the farmer receiving subsidies being on the opinion page, but their NEWS story of the subsidies seems to be out of line. The farmer parking his trailer by the highway may have been NEWS, but a story on the day after about him taking subsidies is pure opinion, or comeupance.

  4. Same here to 3:35 comment, only I've been at it 45 years and guess what -- no handouts, bailouts, or anything else from Uncle, except for the time I spent in the military when they paid me practically nothing for 4 years out of my life. I'm an 'old' Democrat who is sick of the right wing Republican 'kids' who don't know shit from shinola.

  5. Tony-Parkville is correct. If someone expresses an opinion they don't like, the media investigates to see if there is some sort of skeleton in the closet.

    Remember Joe the Plumber?

On the other hand, they had no interest at all in investigating why Obama was buddies with Rev. Wright, Bill Ayres, et al. No curiosity whatsoever on that.

They also had to be sure to to report that Rep. Barton gets a lot of oil industry money, but they saw no reason to report that Obama got a heck of a lot more. No, that wasn't pertinent at all.
