Does anyone else find it strange that a major cabinet member is taking a sabbatical during the most busy staffing time of the year for KCMSD?
ReplyDeleteSabbaticals are part of the professional/academic society. Regardless of current economic conditions.
ReplyDeleteWe could say that sabbaticals, if properly chosen, make for more well rounded senior people.
So long as sabbaticals aren't just company/tax paid time-outs for employees getting ready to retire.
I think most bright people know that upper mgt needs more well rounded experiences to be effective. Sabbaticals might help build experience-breadth experience as well as other vacations to get managers away from their narrow office focuses!
How else can companies who bring in new mgt blood YOUNG, give their people breadth of good experience besides some time-outs away from the office in other useful occupations?
People who understand decision-making and maturity will understand this and not complain. I don't. If you do, then maybe you don't really understand what it takes to decision-make! Decision-making skills and production skills are very different talents! Generally not exchangeable for most people!
If that's true of you, well I'd just suggest you keep your mind on your locally-assigned task and not worry about what goes on upstairs in the board room.

Hey, its our own dumb ass fault because we allow it. After he gets his Harvard degree, how long do you think he will stay in KC? Folks, we are the dummies...I hate us for not caring enough to not want to take back our educational system from these carpetbaggers...and radioman, you got a screw loose to write such a stupid excuse, tell me you were joking?
