Actually, I'm sure utility capitalists were not interested in bringing electricity and phone service to every farm and berg in America... UNTIL the feds paid them to bring electricity to everyone.
ReplyDeleteSo now, fifty years later, we want more than just phones and electricity. We want INFORMATION to every corner of America.

Ya gotta be a pretty pure conservative/libertarian to not see that every corner of America needs the Information Highway.
So, if you don't agree, State your Name so we can label you as a TORY!
And if you give up to THIS (the internet) as a citizen right, well let's see how fast you can talk about HEALTH CARE not also being a right for ALL citizens!
And what about the millions who sneak in here from Mexico to get American Citizen rights and health care, and education for NOTHING?
Maybe Americans need to stand up for what they really believe in and not just take an easy - no political risk- PASS!
