Tonight's Kansas City Circle of Lights Memorial Event On The Plaza

Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care's annual Circle of Lights event for the community took place this evening around eight in the PM at the J.C. Nichols Fountain on The Country Club Plaza.

It was a nice lead-in to upcoming Memorial Day events and the crowd was a lot bigger than I expected.

Hanging around hospice earlier this year I noticed a few folks in the crowd I recognized. The sermons, stories and gathering was nice but not as telling as the almost serene look on so many people's faces . . . At least compared to their expressions when I had first met them at hospice.

Kansas City Hospice House
is probably one of the best organizations in this Cowtown. While this blog isn't too supportive of any local institution . . . Anybody wanting to donate or volunteer at this place should know that it's one of the best things about Kansas City.
