TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! TALK OF A FUNKY SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY CENTER SCUFFLE CIRCULATES AROUND KANSAS CITY!!!

I should start this one off by noting that public altercations are a tricky thing to describe. One person can see a standoff one way and another eye witness could report an entirely different thing.

What I do know for certain is that a great many people are questioning Mayor Funky's strange behavior at a recent Southeast Community Center meeting.

As always, The Mayor Was Shilling For Schools First . . .

In fact, KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS are noting that the upcoming decision whether or not to put The Schools First Bond Issue on the ballot should be a big deal for Mayor Funky.

Unfortunately, at the grassroots level "Schools First" has very little support.

In fact, what I know for sure is that the Mayor recently paid a visit to a local Community Center and pitched his plan to an almost totally uninspired crowd. Afterward, residents followed Mayor Funky outside and wanted their questioned answered rather than listening to a canned sales pitch.

The Mayor was told point blank: "NOBODY CARES ABOUT SCHOOLS FIRST."

And from there this story gets really interesting.

There are a few different accounts of the tale that's currently circulating but the best description of "the incident" is a "minor scuffle."

And with so much anti-incumbent sentiment sweeping through the nation right now, it's not hard to see that Kansas City residents are revolting when it comes to local politics. Er, people never look good when they're pissed.

Also, uncomfortable public altercations are nothing new for Mayor Mark Funkhouser.

The dude won't answer my questions in public and he always gets his feelings hurt when I simply ask him to explain his dumb plans.

He was recently documented straight up scolding HIS OWN APPOINTEES on The Parks Board.

And even more Council folks can attest to the Mayor's short temper and almost total lack of interpersonal skills.

So whatever dustup that Mayor Funky was involved in . . . The facts that KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS ARE REPORTING can't be denied:

A great many people in The Southeast part of Kansas City are talking about troubling, combative and indifferent behavior from Mayor Mark Funkhouser.

His last ditch effort to save his political career isn't getting much traction.

And Funkhouser's ploy to cast himself as an outsider simply points to his own incompetence and inability to relate to the people of Kansas City.
