COUNCIL LADY SHARON SANDERS BROOKS FINALLY TURNED IN HER CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS WHICH FEATURE A $2,500 CONTRIBUTION ALL THE WAY FROM BALTIMORE, MARYLAND!!!
The check comes from Joppatowne Limited Partnership (???)
What also strikes me as funny is that even the campaign filings penned by Brooks look a bit angry . . .

Anyhoo . . . The success of Council Lady Sanders Brooks in collecting a bit of cash has inspired a great many people to encourage her chief opponent Michael Fletcher TO FINALLY START TAKING CAMPAIGN DONATIONS!!!
IF Fletcher takes Kansas City campaign cash then he will quickly eat up any potential contributors that Brooks has in Kansas City and the Council lady will have to continue getting big bucks from out of town. If not, there's a chance the lady could come up with even more choice checks and make a race out of this thing despite some overwhelming antipathy for incumbents demonstrated in recent elections.
Without question the 3rd District Council Race is definitely the most interesting and holds the key to the future for Kansas City. What we've seen now is that Sanders Brooks is willing to fight for her place on The City Council by taking big money from out of town donors who don't turn up much on a cursory, preliminary Google Search.
It's up to you d-bags to find out more about her out of town patrons . . . I'll just be waiting for the next outburst or tirade from the hot tempered Council Lady.
Count on Sharon to make this thing both competitive and ugly.

Fletcher is going to stick that contribution up that ugly, ugly ass...by the way, how can a city council member take the single largest contribution from an entitty that receives over 10,000,000 from the council...this is bribery and at best corruption.

I think Tee could take up some journalistic standards-- which isn't exactly asking him to give up a pint of blood, that's all. I also bitch about my wife, but I still keep her!
He should have done that link to the P&L crowd... fact is, he missed the story because he didn't.
Any reporter who wouldn't have found such an easy link would have gotten a serious asschewing from his editor/news director.
If Tee hopes to HOLD his well-deserved rep as being the best, he's going to have to spend a bit less time browsing other sites for links... which he already displays on his excellent blog-roll, but to nail down his own enterprise stories.
