Not so long ago the steps in front of City Hall were a hot mess, very much like the pavement all over town.
Well, this is actually a bit of good news. A KICKASS TKC TIPSTER recently noted that the steps in front of City Hall are now as smooth as the excuses emanating from so many local politicos.
I kind of like the way it looks. With cutbacks, pay freezes and layoffs it's rather nice to see that at least things look a little bit better at City Hall.
Don't forget too that they're hiring new Assistant City Managers like they were maintenance workers.

Note that the south entrance(pictured) is not accessible to the handicapped. There should be a ramp on the east side, and an accessible door--oh, no, can't do that--it would be moral/ethical/compliant to help the disabled and the city doesn't want them anywhere near the building.

ReplyDeleteThe steps to city hall should look respectable.In regard to the comment about a flag on display.How about a flag pole in the court yard and forget flying a flag 30 storyies tall.
ReplyDeleteThis is another example of a public project where ADA was over looked. Dispicable and no regard for all citezens of kc.I have all my limbs and can see just fine.When will this city notice all the folks with disabilities manuvering thru-out our city.
