Mind you . . . I feel sorry for anybody who dies in a horrible accident. This post isn't about the dearly departed. Instead, I'm complaining about all of the middle-class d-bags who are undoubtedly going to use this tragedy to push forward their political cause that includes more resources for their hobby and increased hostility against drivers simply trying to make it to work.
In Kansas City everything is political and middle-class cyclists/lobbyists have proven themselves experts and using accidents to garner more funding.

you're normally more a fan of things that empower the poor. bikes for transportation make sense and I see them in Ivanhoe more and more. Giving people a few paths is definitely cheaper than light rail...
