Kansas City BeerFest Failure!!!

In some of the most groundbreaking reporting I've seen from a Kansas City blog in months . . .

THE KANSAS CITY BEER BLOG EXPOSES THE WESTPORT BEER FEST FAILURE!!!

The mistake was clear and embarrassing and representative of what's wrong with nightlife here in town.

ALLEGEDLY, THE KANSAS CITY BEERFEST IN WESTPORT RAN OUT OF BEER!!!

This is a rookie mistake that's not even forgivable for the most entry level kegger. Seriously, this is part of the overall party scene fail for all of Kansas City and thanks to a local blog for bringing the news that mainstream media overlooked.

Photobabe: Jennifer Ellison's stock just went up because I found a photo set of her advocating on behalf of a lower booze tax.

  1. They usually run out of beer, especially the good ones, by 3 pm even when it was held at the Legends or the Power & Light. The probably do that so people don't get blotto and then drive.

  3. Everyone I talked to in Westport was happy with Beerfest. It wasn't supposed to be like the usual sloppy stupid mess put on by so-called "Westport visionarys."
Even mother nature smiled on the event.

  5. Btw? "Mainstream media" (real media, as opposed to this blog) reported on this last night on the 10 PM news. So NOT ignored.

  6. We went.

    Got there, maybe 3ish?

A third of the tables were empty. got 2 samples, the third sample ran out of beer while we were in line.

We quickly got tired of the moshpits forming at fewer and fewer flowing taps.

$30 for maybe 12 ounces of beer, that we had to fight for.

I know it was a charity thing and all, but thats a pricey beer.

Won't go back to that clusterfuck. Sure its great to have charity events, but to then use that charity as a way to fuck people, eh, I dunno. Nothing against the cause, or the doners, but the organizer should be shot out of a cannon.
