Critically acclaimed author Joe Miller and former Communications Dude Joe Miller is now working for Hearne. Today he turns in a whimsical column about KC's LBGT community with a couple of good ideas but I'm more interested in the fact that a former renowned journalist and media dude is basically working the same gig that I do . . . And I welcome him as the new junior memeber of Hearne's bloggy boiler room.

Gotta say, he has a point. A far simpler and yet far more effective way to jump-starting tourism and the local economy - no tax breaks necessary! Makes too much sense for it to ever be enacted though.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of the most lame attempts at humor about the LGBT community in Kansas City. No wonder Miller's blog failed. He should also know that the word is transgender, not transgendered. It's the same word whether singular or plural. And finally, we don't call Kansas City's Pride Festival, "PrideFest". St. Louis does, Kansas City does not. It's not like Rockfest. It's the Pride festival.
ReplyDeleteStupid article to say the least. For someone with gay friends, he certainly doesn't mind to be offensive with his idea of a gay czar, who would regularly attend comedy shows. And he needs to keep all of his other good ideas to himself. I have gay friends too, I just don't make fun of their lifestyle and then think I'm a funny guy full of good ideas.
