Kansas City's State Rep. Jason Kander continues to make waves in the Missouri House by his consistent advocacy for ethics reform. As always, STL papers are doing a much better job of keeping track of what happens in Jefferson City: So far the bill has been blocked from The House Floor and pretty much gutted but there's one last chance (in the hands of Missouri Republicans) as time runs out.
Again, I've always thought this was a rather valiant losing effort that speaks to the good intentions of a brave few politicos in Kansas City that always get cut to shreds.
Always watch those who scream the loudest. why dont you ask about the LA that is getting paid by both the Rep and the Consulting company and recruiting business from the capitol office.
ReplyDeleteYeah, somehow I think this is just political postureing for Kander.
ReplyDeleteKind of like doing a bunch of prefiles before the session to help out kids and poor people. You know none of it will pass but you can say you tried come reelection time.
Kander stands up for ethics, but doesn't really expect it to pass.
Why would Jason want to pass an ethics law and cause all that trouble for Mike Talboy?
