Incumbent Fred Arbanas has more than $50k while we're still waiting for Council Dude Terry Riley to disclose. County Exec. Mike Sanders adds another $50k to his $138,000 in the bank despite the fact he runs unopposed. In the race everybody is watching: "Henry Rizzo, reported raising $13,200, with $12,145 still on hand as of April 15. Crystal Williams, who recently sought in court the removal of another opponent with a similar name, reported raising $13,800, with $10,710 still on hand." And Theresa Garza-Ruiz has got A LOT more cash than her opposition so far . . . As evidenced by her smiley billboards all over town. Check out the rest of the article for news about other County peeps not worth noting.

Those little signs are cheap and ineffective. She must be renting from a member of her family, or the larger family that her mother was always so close to.
ReplyDeleteSigns cost as low as 5k and up. Not so cheap in a County race. Don't know about the snide comment regarding familia, but I like Garza. She will continue to serve Jackson County.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the exiting of some long term members of the legislature. Like Arbans. Man, just what does he do?
