Here is why THE TKC RUN FOR CITY COUNCIL (!!!) is more serious than the heart attack that all of this Dr. Pepper and snack cakes will eventually give me:
TKC IS ONE OF THE FEW CANDIDATES FOR CITY COUNCIL WHO HAS REALISTIC (I.E. SMALL) GOALS FOR MY TENURE!!!
That dimwit Mayor Funky and his barefoot wife are too busy changing how KC sees marriage and trying to recalibrate local politics away from "evil" people that they don't see this town's immediate needs. Throughout his term, Mayor Funky has been more devoted to his wife's feet than life on the street level in KC.
HECK, IT'S GONNA TAKE ANOTHER DECADE FOR SEWER REPAIR THAT COUNCIL LADY MARCASON HAS BEEN PROMISING!!!
And local government still begs for help from vigilant residents when it comes to basic City Services.
I just want to make sure local potholes are filled and help stop so much needless Kansas City violence.
In the 4th District I'm mainly concerned with all of the potholes that still exist despite big promises from so many elected officials. I went outside today and noticed that the Cowtown streets are just as bad as they've even been.
On the subject of violence, I think Alonzo Washington is a lot more effective with very little local gov. cash directed his way than Aim4Peace with more than a half-mil in their coffers. The only difference is that petty political connections keep the Aim4peace food budget it play.
SERIOUSLY focusing on basic services and anti-violence efforts with quantifiable results is my campaign platform. Sadly, small realistic goals in Kansas City are regarded as a joke in lieu of the same old empty promises from the local political class.

ReplyDeleteI have yet to see Washington at a crime scene or squashing a beef between bangers at 2 a.m.He comes in after the fact. You are always riding his nuts but I have never seen him. He turns in tips after and incident has occured. He would have a whole lot more to do if it were not for AIM For Peace. If he does so damn much then why are there so many unsolved murders.

ReplyDeleteWe are just comming out of winter, potholes are expected and you can't patch until it's fairly warm. Besides, lets fund Police and Fire and forego basic services. Graffiti on buildings is not the city's responsibility. People need to be responsible for trash. The city just collects your bags on the curb. Take some responsibility people.
