A great many thanks to quite a few KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS who are talking about even more rumors of corruption surrounding Mayor Funky.
Frankly, I'm surprised The Star isn't asking questions on this one but they've so smart they're screaming recovery despite the fact their business model is based on last century's technology and the last remaining advertisers who are working mostly out of habit.
Anyhoo . . .
TKC TIPSTERS ARE ASKING SERIOUS QUESTIONS ALL OVER KANSAS CITY ABOUT THE CONNECTION BETWEEN AN APPOINTMENT BY MAYOR FUNKY AND A RECENT CAMPAIGN DONATION!!!
The Sitch:
Kay Winterowd gave $1,000 To Mayor Funky's Campaign according To The Star.
Subsequently . . .
A Kay Winterowd was recently appointed to the Kansas City Ethics Commission by Mayor Funky.
Maybe there are a bunch of Kay Winterowd's walking around out there . . . (No, there are not)
And nobody else seemed concerned that Ollie Gates gave even more money and he's supposed to be on the receiving end of a great big Tax Free District proposed by Mayor Funky.
To his credit, he's not even trying to hide it anymore . . .
THAT CROOK MAYOR FUNKY IS BY FAR KANSAS CITY'S MOST CORRUPT ELECTED OFFICIAL!!!
Thing is, my red bold type is gully and sweet but it doesn't really make a difference.
I always have to remind AWESOME TIPSTERS that The Missouri Ethics Commission isn't watching and they've all but shut down when it comes to Kansas City politics.
Among a great many, there is the appearance of impropriety by Mayor Funky . . . But this is just one alleged instance of corruption in his remarkable failure of an administration. The Mayor started out touting his principals and ONCE AGAIN it seems like he's just upholding the same kind of "pay for play" that defines Kansas City politics.
Mayor Funky's last remaining defenders are blinded by personal relationships, personal gain or just straight up delusion. However, his opposition is mostly comprised of opportunists and people who don't have any business thinking they can be Mayor of a major Midwestern City. The vast majority of Kansas City residents don't care . . . Mainly because Mayor Funky is exactly the same kind of politician that has fostered a long standing and ever increasing distrust in government.

ReplyDeleteNo need to panic. Just a complaining Hispanic.
ReplyDelete"gully" has clearly replaced "to wit" as Tony's favorite go-to term. We get it. You like the word. Stop the over use.
ReplyDeleteFunk is just a normal DEMOCRAP!
ReplyDeleteWhy is he so damn ugly?
ReplyDeleteWhy is he so damn ugly?
ReplyDeleteTony:
ReplyDeleteLike Clay Chastain, Funkhouser only became a "public figure" because the KC Star (particularly Yael) decided they knew what was right/newsworthy.
Chastain was full of crap.
Funkhouser is full of crap.
Yael is full of crap.
Keep getting your views about what is truth from the Star, and you will tend to be mis-informed.
Have any of the Council people returned any donations? If so, why?
ReplyDeleteMayor Funk wasn't better than Kay and now he's no better than The Council.
ReplyDeleteGive back the money Mark.
I need this damn mayor on my side. I need to get that tax abatement. I need to remain important. I need to keep my gambling chips. I need.
ReplyDeletehe IS ugly as hell but he could improve that by cutting his beard off, changing his mustache so it doesn't point downward and grow his hair longer to widen his face.
ReplyDeleteEverything he's doing now with hair grooming accentuates his narrow head.
Can't believe he didn't do something about that years ago.
Bet his nickname was 'stretch'.
VOTE NO on any new taxes.
ReplyDeleteThe Winterowds and Scaggs were the two that sued the council (city) on the Co-mayors behalf in regards to the folunteer ordinance.
ReplyDeletethat Las Vegas rumor just keeps popping up! How does that work? How can one "lose" a % of ones business to "Las Vegas Gambling interests"? Is a note signed, a contract on illegal betting?
ReplyDeleteThe Co-mayors couldnt when the next election even if it was a poll from neighbors on his own neighborhood street. Brookside for sure.
ReplyDeleteAlso if you look at his report it says that there are 400,000 in campaign receipts for this campaign? How does that happen?
