TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY BLACK PEOPLE LIKE MIKE BURKE!!!

Let's look at the upcoming Mayoral race objectively. So far Kansas City's Northland seems pretty well divided and their vote just might be split in the primary. On the other side of the River, South KC is divided into so many factions that one candidate can't reasonably expect to garner any kind of consensus (maybe) until the general election (if ever). With Terry Riley now setting his sights on Jackson County . . .

KANSAS CITY'S EASTSIDE VOTE IS CURRENTLY UP FOR GRABS!!!

Any logical student of KC politics already knows this and is working to make inroads into this community.

To wit . . .

KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS HAVE CAPTURED MAYORAL CANDIDATE MIKE BURKE MAKING FRIENDS AMONG KANSAS CITY'S AFRICAN-AMERICAN LEADERSHIP!!!

To be fair, Burke has probably knowN Former Council Dude Alvin Brooks for quite some time. But that doesn't stop a rather GULLY TKC CONTRIBUTOR from captioning this pic with the tag: "Alvin Brooks likes me and I'm not even dead!" as if spoken by Burke himself.

In the next photo I'm almost sure that Burke was just about to kiss the ring of Greater Kansas City Southern Christian Leadership Conference President Fuzzy Thompson. At the very least, this looks like one of those Obama bows.

Still, like or not, there is no Mayoral candidate who can hope to win the office without Kansas City's Black vote. Burke seems to be smartly tending to his friendships on the Eastside and . . .

I HEAR WE CAN EXPECT SOME BURKE ENDORSEMENTS FROM KANSAS CITY'S AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!!

The Mayoral race is obviously heating up and shaking hands on the Eastside is just the first path to victory.

Developing . . .

  1. Mike Burke cut a deal with Brooks via Pat Gray during the last Mayoral campaign. Burke filled out his candidate questionaires and prepared him for mayoral debates and in return Brooks would serve one term and support Burke to replace him.

    That's a fact.

  2. What that means is Freedom will use Burke in a bid war with Sly James to up the anti for their endorsement which will go to James in the end. Ask Barnes how they used her in her first election to get more money out of Blackwood in the general.

    I was there.

  3. Anyone who bows to Fuzzy Thompson should not get a single vote.

  4. Mike Burcke getting the black vote is as funny as Sly James getting it.

  5. Is he really posing in two pictures thinking that gets him the black vote? Tony has a better chance at Mayor.

  6. The only thing Pat Gray cut was the cheese. The guy stinks.

  7. Go Burke!!!

  8. You have to get the black vote to be Mayor?

    Huh?

Anybody remember what happened in the last mayoral election?

The black turnout is going to be low, guaranteed, which means the black vote won't be decisive in this election, unless there is a black candidate that can draw BIG from the Southwest corridor.

    And that ain't gonna happen.

  9. That's right. I cut a deal with Mike Burcke to steal another $200,000 like I did to Alvin. You have a problem with that?

  10. apparently everyone is just a color to you, Tony, is that it?

  12. Oh please, color schmoler. Look beyond that and look at the irony of the photos.

  13. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Kansan. Right? Church is in kansas isn't it? Does he even live here or does he just come here to get tax dollars for his events?

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

  14. Alvin Brooks likes me so much he gave me a 25% discount for the photo.

Alvin Brooks drives in from his 5 bedroom mansion way out south to pretend with Burke that he gives a rip about the urban core.

That's not fair. How do you think he bought the mansion? Ad Hoc Group Against Crime salary, candle lighting stipends, speaking engagements about the former. I take what I said back, he really really does care.

  17. The 'irony of the photo' is that all of these cellophane SOB's are so easy to see through, that they might as well have no color at all.

They are all the color of bullshit.

  20. Hey I really liked hanging around at that event. Honestly, I have no idea how that high resolution camera ended up following me around to document key handshakes as if I received their endorsements.
