KCI BODY SCANNER PROTEST TODAY!!!

In a post Sept.11 world I still don't feel comfortable in an airport because I have facial hair and I'm pretty swarthy.

Still . . . Very brave Kansas City folks dedicated to Liberty are taking on airport security today.

THE LIBERTY RESTORATION IS RUNNING A BIG BODY SCANNER PROTEST TODAY AT KCI!!!

These are the same folks who challenged Kansas City Red Light Cameras in KC so there they're already experienced in getting local press . . . And from what I hear this event is going to be a big deal.

Here are just a few details from their facebook page:

WHERE/WHEN: KCI Airport, Kansas City Terminal B Noon to 2pm

"Following the airport-related Christmas Day bombing attempt, long discussed plans to implement body scanning devices at airports moved quickly; and what was once relegated to the pages of a science fiction novel, becomes reality.
While the implementation is conducted in the name of safety, experts agree
that the type of bomb used on Christmas, and other similar explosives, will not be by the devices, which allow a fully nude visual of the human form-including that of children.

Additionally, the safety of the scanners is also in question.
The Liberty Restoration Project is working to educate the public on these issues, and will bring their message to Kansas City International on Saturday, April 10th
at terminal “B.”

This educational event will run from Noon until 2 PM, with media availability for interviews and photo-ops happening at 1:00"

  2. Flying is such a bunch of bullshit. This security theater is a joke. It's gotten so expensive, time consuming, and such a hassle to fly that I quit doing it.

  3. Tony, thank you for being "liberty minded"! I may not always agree on your points of view but your postings on civil liberties and the issues of personal freedom are dead on! Keep it up! You are bringing this message to a mainstream readership and it will help.
