With even more layoffs coming at The Kansas City Star I can't help but giggle at the fate of "journalism" which was really just a word for corporate white people holding the media captive.
Turns out, if newspaper revenues are any indication, nobody really cares about "journalism" -- People would rather just know what's going on in their community.
Other than this simple fact of life, I don't have any bold pronouncements to make other than the fact that I don't feel sorry for Star newsies getting the boot because I never felt like they had much compassion for me.
Still, there is a FUTURE for journalism and I think that it is typified by Angela Sun. She really does great work, she looks amazing in a bikini AND the reporter was recently featured in Maxim.
I don't know how many Star newsies can squeeze into a bikini but they better start trying pretty soon because it's the only viable career alternative I've seen yet.
Finally a photo of a gal that hasn't been (re)touched by a plastic surgeon!
ReplyDeleteHot Asian American women reporting news in as little clothing as possible. That is a segment of Journalism I can get behind.
