KANSAS CITY THINKS ABOUT BIG AL!!!

I know quite a few people who don't like Albert Riederer. But regarding his impending candidacy for Mayor:

He raised more money than anybody else last in the last race AND in a shorter amount of time.

He has experience in elected office but isn't stained by the current failure of The City Council.

Don't underestimate his connections . . . Riederer still talks to EVERYBODY and from what I gather he's THE ONLY person that all of the candidates already in the race fear.

Had in not been for The Star pushing Mayor Funky the last time around, Big Al would have been Mayor. In a crowded field this race will be about nothing more than money and payoffs to different local constituencies AND NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO DO THAT BETTER THAN BIG AL!!!

I've heard it before, "if he runs, he wins" and looking at the big picture I'd rather enjoy a race between Big Al and Mike Burke . . . Sadly, in the back of everyone's mind is the slight chance that an increasingly crowded race will open the door to the Co-Mayors and Gloria's big feet despite their corruption and malfeasance. Maybe. But Big Al's Money in the race makes them less important as well.

Developing . . .

  3. Big Al closet isn't as clean as may think. It will all come out if he enters the mayor race. The preferred course would be for him to continue bringing the BIG bucks as court appointed receiver for Brook Ins!

  4. What's he done for the City since last time he ran? Oh yeah, nothing. 'nough said.

  5. God will somebody with some quality get into the race so we can quit being tormented by all these has beens. It is like watching a b-rated Sci-fi movie resurrecting the dead. Then there is the tired ass "What If-Together We Can" second hand Obama Campaign of Sly James. WTF?

This is either a very bad dream or a very cynical joke. Gloria and Funk-the very ass end of the joke.

I read on here a week or so ago that Representative Hughes was considering a run. Young, innovative-not afraid to make the tough choices-hmmm Wouldn't that be a pleasant change! Where are you Zombie slayer?

  6. Sly James for Mayor hands down. The rest of these clowns are just taking up space on TKC. He was the first to announce and has raised the most money, is the strongest leader and will surprisingly pull a lot of votes in my neighborhood in the Northland. I just wish he'd campaign up here.

  7. This is fantastic news. Add another has been to the ticket.

  8. Big Al is a big zero. He has more waffles than an IHOP. His big bucks as an 'appointed' receiver will come into play. Even his pals are sick of his in-out game. He talks to everyone, and waffles with everyone, so NO ONE is impressed.

Sly James will not be elected. He might have been the first to announce, but Burke has been running for almost two years. His only major support is trial lawyers, and even they gave him relatively small "have-to" amounts of money. He is a nice person, but definitely not a leader, and does not have a strategy or the skills to handle city hall. People he talks with all leave unimpressed. He will not win the Northland, the Corridor or the 3rd and 5th districts. No way.

A crowded primary means a potential return of Funk and Glo. Be careful where you place your vote and place it with the person who can beat them. So far that person hasn't announced. But she will.

  9. I'm not voting for a guy that looks like a Super Mario brother. Luigi for Mayor? No thanks!

  11. Check it, its Gold4/24/10, 1:50 PM

He has secretly hired Chris Moreno and his business partners to run his mayoral campaign so there is little doubt that Big Al will be our next mayor.

  13. If Moreno takes Al on as a charge, it is a done deal.

  14. 3:55 - just like last time Al ran...oh wait...he lost, that's right. Does Chris Moreno blog his own BS on here? He's clearly in love with himself. If he was as good as he thinks he is we would've heard of him by now (besides his own annoying blogs!)

  15. Big Al in or out. He has shown his priority for the city. It is more about his receiverdhip and if he has time to be mayor.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Al has always been about what's in it for Al. His receiverships will not be good PR for any type of campaign. Stay home, Al, and keep your money.

  17. Chris Moreno is too busy planting positive mentions about himself on blogs to return phone calls or meet the most basic expectations in business. That is why he got fired by the House Democrat Campaign Committee. Only a turn coat would hire him after he was thrown out of that nuthouse.

  18. I'm going to say that when Jeff Roe goes to sleep he checks under his bed for this Chris Moreno guy. He has to be that good to have people faking negative posts about him.

  19. Al doesnt want to be mayor. He doesnt want a big field of canidates he just wants the co-mayors gone as bad as the next guy that has lived here ther entire life and is not a transplant.

  20. Moreno Went to Sloppy Seconds4/25/10, 10:12 PM

Moreno is working for Rod Jetton's former Chief of Staff, so I guess the young bear named Chris Moreno will learn the proper use of the term "Green Balloons."

  21. I don't really care who the Moreno guy is, but it's funny watching a couple of people on this blog like 10:12pm 3:56pm 5:51pm and 1:50pm swing from his balls!
