I'm a big fan of the Queen of Kansas City Talk Radio Darla Jaye.
In fact, I like her so much I fight with her regularly on air. Check out the TKC segment on 980 Live at around 8:30 in the PM TONIGHT!!! We'll be arguing about all things Kansas City including ongoing Cleaver Spitting Drama and The Upcoming Kansas City, Missouri School District Elections.
But there's even bigger news for Darla tonight than a mere visit with TKC.

Kansas City's Political Talk Show Of Record will host Darla up against Yael Abouhalkah, Gwen Grant and Mary O'Halloran with Mike Shanin running the discussion. Seriously, though this is a big step for Darla since it's the first time somebody representing the Tea Party ethos has reached the local political mainstream.
Darla is moving up in the world of local opinion and I'm just glad she hollers at TKC (literally) every now and then.

And what you don't know is what's on that computer screen she reads from, as if they're her own words. Her daily Talking Points emailed to her by Dick Armey and the Republican National Committee's Talk Show Propaganda office. And thank god for Matt Drudge!
I've quit listening to broadcast radio altogether. Love my XM/Sirius. And MSNBC's Rachel Maddow & Keith Olbermann on cable that's opposite her show.
Let me know if they can her, and replace her with a cheaper syndicated talk show on satellite. Maybe her Libertarian hero, Jerry (good riddance) Agar will bring her up to Toronto since he finally went home to Canada.

ReplyDeleteI probably need to change my handle to something much more trendy, because radio as we knew it is long gone. The only ones in denial about that are those holding the penny stocks and those who ignored the signs and didn't get new skills.
I think Johnny Dare's the only one in this entire market who will survive at a salary higher than minimum wage! Radio is over with.

ReplyDeleteDarla tried really hard earily on to suck up to the co-mayors.Darla and Yael were attached at the hip and enthrawled with them.They have about the same ammout of cred with KC. Report the facts and both sides to a story and keep opinion to yourself.
