First of all, TKC wishes well to Kansas City, Missouri Superintendent Covington because I hear he's under the weather.
Nevertheless, the guy still took care of business recently when arranging a meeting with members of the Missouri General Assembly - Kansas City Delegation. He sent a representative in his place and he has already made contact not only with Kansas City politicos within the district but also Missouri politicos in Jeff City from nearby rural areas.
That's right . . .
SUPERINTENDENT COVINGTON HAS MADE CONTACT WITH KANSAS CITY POLITICOS AT THE STATE LEVEL WHEREAS MAYOR FUNKY CAN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO RETURN PHONE CALLS FROM JEFF CITY!!!
Think I'm kidding? Mayor Funky is still going back and forth with Rep. Ryan Silvey in public and holding a grudge over a political smack down Mayor Funky received last month from the Young Republican . . . Rather than working to mend fences and seeing what KC can get accomplished at the State level or at least saving us from some of the massive budget cuts that are going down all over the State.
Meanwhile, Covington is on a first name basis with a great many Kansas City politicos in Jeff City.
Consider this:
THE FAILING KANSAS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT IS BETTER AT KEEPING UP WITH STATE LEVEL POLITICOS THAN KANSAS CITY'S MAYOR!!!!
So late in the game Mayor Funky doesn't understand that cooperation and working to build consensus is one of the most important challenges for a politico to overcome. Mark Funkhouser has failed to show the qualities of a real leader as her term as Mayor comes to an end.
Mayor Mark Funky and his co-Mayor wife have shown incompetence in virtually every facet of their Administration but compared with far more effective local leaders their gross negligence really stands out.
whatevs.
ReplyDeleteFunk & Gloria need to be gone, the sooner the better...
ReplyDeleteEverything with the Co-Mayors is how to get even. They do not have the ability to work with people. LOOSER. They will go down in 2011 in a hard way. A knock out punch by voters. That will be the end of the nightmare for KCMO.
ReplyDeleteTONY, DON'T MIX KCSD (AND COVINGTON) WITH CITYGOVT (Y0UR FAV TARGET FUNK.)
ReplyDeleteToo many people are confused and don't realize that one has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the other!
Finally, after 30+ years of incompetency, we have a great superintendent. Once he turns this district around, he will be the subject of a blockbuster movie. Go, go, go!
ReplyDeleteRadio Man:You are right.Go super Covington! Co-Mayors go away west virginia and take your mountain mama with you.
ReplyDeleteGo Covington!!
