In just a few statements yesterday, Mayor Funky revealed that he has become the biggest joke in Kansas City political history.
While yelling at volunteers is funny and CLEARLY demonstrates that the Mayor has no background in community service, his outburst aimed at Aggie Stackhaus also depicts his total lack of character on the part of Funkhouser. Check it:
But Funkhouser was critical of the way the park board handled the off-leash dog-park issue. This is par for the course and reveals that Mayor Funky hasn't really learned a thing since he entered office calling outgoing volunteers and everyone who disagreed with him "evil."
He said Park Commissioner Aggie Stackhaus bragged to him in September that she had made a deal with Here’s Waldo Neighborhood Association President Eula Inloes that there would never be an off-leash dog park in Sunnyside Park.
Funkhouser recounted the conversation. “I told her, ‘Aggie, this is corrupt,’ ” Funkhouser said.
Stackhaus later on Monday flatly refuted Funkhouser’s version of their conversation.
“He was screaming at me and verbally abusing me,” said Stackhaus, a former city councilwoman. “I said I don’t make backroom deals. I’ve got a 30-year impeccable record of community service. I’ll stake my reputation up against his any day.”
Inloes also on Monday denied that Stackhaus had made her any promises.
I can only note with a certain sense of smug satisfaction that it was Kansas City's Latino Community that tried to warn this town how stubborn, insensitive and incompetent this dude was from the very beginning.
NOW ALL OF KANSAS CITY CAN SEE MAYOR FUNKY COME APART UNDER PRESSURE AND VICIOUSLY ATTACK ANYBODY WHO WON'T SUPPORT HIS SILLY SCHEMES!!!
And the worst part of it all is that he went "postal" over an insignificant and frivolous dog park issue that had little community support other than a group of equally off-kilter plus-sized ladies and their leader clad in a jean jacket who pouted to their buddies at The Pitch when they didn't get their way.
And all of this is why so little political progress has been achieved during the Funky Administration.
Mayor Funkhouser has demonstrated a fundamental lack of respect for any viewpoint other than his own and his pathological stubbornness has led him to commit a brutal act of political thuggery on behalf of a dog park that nobody really wanted.
Also, does he really think that yelling at people in public will get what he wants?
Kansas City's Mayor is self-destructing and my only hope is that he doesn't lead the rest of this town into his own, political downward spiral.

eh.
ReplyDeleteAggie never yells and is the most meek person in the city. If anyone deserves to be yelled it is Aggie she is arrogant, ignorant and obnoxious.
ReplyDeleteAggie apparently defines "impeccable" differently than most of the world's population.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is a toss up. Aggie is very obnoxious and overbearing. Thd dog park lesbians are like a dog with a bone, so to speak, on this park issue. And Funk...wow, no sympathetic characters in this post.
ReplyDeleteAggie has to be one of the most horrible people that I have ever met. She is rude, rightgeous and corrupt. When the Funk named her to the Parks Board I knew then that we were doomed. If he has no better judgement of character than that he deserves all he has gotten.

ReplyDeleteFunk, don't you have better things to do?
ReplyDeleteIs he wanting loyality or help in getting reelected?
ReplyDeleteStop the Nonsense
ReplyDeleteor
A City that Works ?
Sounds like they never left High School.
Pretty soon its going to be just Funk, Squid and Kendrick in the bunker, with a bottle of L-Pills and a service revolver.
ReplyDeleteTO: Rotten Orange ...
ReplyDeleteOh please; oh please; oh please!
As one who has deal with both Funkhouser and Stackhaus, I can tell you from experience that BOTH of them are case studies in smug self-righteousness, and a superiority based on absolutely nothing.
ReplyDeleteThey are BOTH immature and rude. They are BOTH embarrassments to Kansas City. That they now cannot say anything good about the other may be ironic, but is also absolutely PREDICTABLE to those who know them.
And that they BOTH have been darlings to the Kansas City Star (Yael particularly) should surprise no one. The Star's darlings are always like this. Can you spell Clay Chastain?
The park board should have been appointed for how capable they are, not to be puppets!
ReplyDeletefunkhouser's rage is a real serious threat. He is at breaking point and I think he has the capacity to do physical harm.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding, he has tried in the past to intimidate people by using his elongated frame, getting up in front of them and screaming at them in a blue fit. He can be scary. He seems to enjoy to threatening women. He is a bully.
The public spotlight on him is unrelenting. His numerous mistakes are becoming legendary. He will snap.
He rolled the dice and became mayor by a fluke. Now he will lose everything when he doesn't make it past the primary. I think he is dangerous. I think he can do harm to those whom he feels have treated him badly.
Here's the deal Tony, if you see funkhouser walking up to your house DO NOT ANSWER THE DOOR!!
Hey Tony... RUN!!! He will take you out with a shot gun.
ReplyDeleteBoth Funky and The Squid are dangerous. They need to be watched they will go to far one day. Watch your backs people of KC.

ReplyDeleteIronic that they are fighting because Aggie Stackhaus was sure way, way up in Funk's ass during his campaign.
ReplyDeleteI am genuinely puzzled by all of his attention and anger over the park board. I never realized it was such a bastion of power that such vitriol would be warranted. I'm not saying the park board is unimportant, but in the grand scheme of things the supposed "loss of the park board's support" is hardly the hallmark or cause of a failed administration.
ReplyDeletethin margin... Aggie Fathouse isn't going to get intimidated or cave in front of the Feckless, Vile and Despicable Funk. She knows he's a nobody. They used to be friends... another one bites the dust, eh Funk?
ReplyDeleteLong Live the Orange Revolution, the Orange Revolution is dead.
Mark: Honey, I'm off to the meeting with the Parks and Rec board.
ReplyDeleteGlo: Lemme get my purse, I've got something you're gonna need.
Mark: Thanks sweetums, I thought my balls were lost forever.
Glo: No Mark they weren't lost. I was just keeping them in a safe place. You don't need 'em when you with me Honeybunch.
This shitty hall site is starting to stink.
ReplyDeleteThis mayor is soo inconsequential to the greater scheme of things. Why do you continue pandering to the angry shitty hall employees?
Screw em. Who cares about kansas city politics except those south of 75th and north of NKC?
Youre just goin for the easy stuff because local bureocrats will feed you their pettiness everyday.
That's lazy journalism, no better than TV stations too understaffed to cover anything but police dept news releases!
And murders have virtually no impact on the metro society.
Similarly, what this mayor and his antics do have virtually no impact on this society either! Most influential people in this metro dont' live in KCMo anyway.
And most of us arent much impacted by city hall palace politics anyway!
Hey Tony,
ReplyDeleteRUN!!! MyTwistedSister AKA SQUIT has gone nuts over at kansascity.com. You sure as shit hit a nerve. Look out for the shotgun blast!
Hell she may think this is 9mm worthy! She is such a ghetto grandma.

ReplyDeleteThe same backstabber that sent his resume to be considered for the City Manager's spot. I guess he won't have to dodge bullets when the primary numbers come rolling in.
Anigga Webster what do you expect.
ReplyDelete"Funkhouser thanked Park Commissioner Ajamu Webster for supporting many of his initiatives."
ReplyDeleteWTF? How is supporting this racist backward bastard meeting the wants of Black Agenda? and that other group?
What a damn sellout!!!!!
