Money line from The Kansas Sity Sinic (sp?): "In fact, a simple Google search will reveal that the general consensus is that Cafe Trio is, well, sub-par." Trendy LGBT fare isn't my specialty but I keep hearing bad things about this place . . . With the kind of prices they charge, I guess straight up food and service come into play.

Wow, well if KCSinic (WTF?) said Cafe Trio is bad it must be. Can't bitchy straight girls like that just stick to Kona Grill?

ReplyDeleteThanks for the link Tony, and yes, it's "Sinic".
ReplyDeleteNo (sp) or WTF? needed. It's a play on words--even straight bitchy girls can create their own definitions of words.
Anonymous: I've never been, but I can guarantee you, gay or straight, I won't be going there after the way they treated my friends.
cafe trio fuckin sucks at life. i give them til november
ReplyDeleteI just looked at KC Sinic's profile. First, anyone who calls themself a cynic is probably a narcissistic and in their early 20's. Second, of course she is from Johnson County. Stay there girl! Stay away from the city--I am sure you can get plenty of attention at the Elephant Bar, or wherever horrible JoCo types go on 119th street.
ReplyDeleteSince when does being from JoCo void you of having an opinion on Kansas City restaurants? I am quite certain KCMO restaurants, especially on the Plaza, would not survive without JoCo patronage.
ReplyDeleteElephant bar? Really? That's just ignorant.
It's not THAT bad. Could be better.
ReplyDeleteKCSinic has one of the bestand most humorous blogs out there. She can stay in JoCo as long as she keeps on bloggin.
ReplyDeleteTrio is one of the best restaurants in town. As for the kicking out a bunch of drunk girls...who knows what happened.
ReplyDeleteI smell a backstory that's better than the food at Cafe Trio!
ReplyDeleteSinic's blog is horrible--she actually has a link to Michelle Malkin. Yes, you should stay out of Trio--really the gays don't want you there sweetie.
ReplyDeletehaha.
ReplyDeleteScrew you guys, I'm taking my ball and going home
ReplyDeleteI used to love this place. They lost something when they moved.
ReplyDeleteMy personal experience, based on four separate visits is - the food and service are both excellent. Steakburger, Chicken Trio, sweet potato fries, salads, love it all. Couldn't help but notice the place was full for lunch every time I've been there. Parking lot full, but there are always spaces at the far end. (That has to say something.)
ReplyDeleteSort of like movie reviews - interesting to read, but I have to see it myself.
I think Tony is annoyed with Trio customers taking so much parking that he has to waddle farther to get to Jardines.
ReplyDeleteI want to like Trio, and like the ambiance, but the food is just not very good.
ReplyDeleteso if the cynic/sinic/whatever her name is was LGBT then shitty service wouldn't be tolerated?
ReplyDeletenice analogy, sweetie
Good riddance, KC Sinic. Your juvenile, wingnut rantings are better off on your own, low-traffic pathetic site.
ReplyDeleteSuch anger and hatred towards this young lady.
ReplyDeleteAnd they say conservatives are the hateful ones.
