Let's make this quick . . .
Mayor Funky and (maybe outgoing) City Hall Communications lady Mary Charles were caught in a strange flurry of activity by City Hall insiders and AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS. Before the snow on Thursday evening a press release went out declaring Kansas City ready and equipped to deal with whatever mess came our way.
THIS PR ANTICIPATION WAS MOST LIKELY A CHEAP STUNT INTENDED TO MAKE UP FOR FUNKY SNOW REMOVAL FAILURE EARLIER THIS YEAR!!!
Luckily, as usual weather newsies exaggerated the snowfall amounts and the lite dusting doesn't compare at all with the snow and ice on the street for weeks thanks to Co-Mayor Funky's incompetence.
Now, watching the news Kansas City residents might be confused because newscasts spent most of the evening trying to cover their mistake.
But let's get it straight despite TV News attempt to shape reality and cover their tracks . . .
MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY SNOW WAS NOTHING AT ALL DESPITE TV NEWSIE PANIC!!!
The snow missed Kansas City. Nope, rural areas in local TV News Broadcasting range don't count . . . That goes for most of JoCo past Overland Park and South KC past Ward Parkway. In fact, if didn't snow on the Westside then I really don't care.
In the midst of yet another screwed up Kansas City weather prediction coupled with political posturing there is nothing more than phony local news weather reports and a lame duck Co-Mayor moving into action weeks too late.
Was there snow in Waldo.
ReplyDeleteWe don't need snow removal for an half inch of snow.....
ReplyDeleteThis was mostly slush and it was not even freezing. What a hollow victory.
ReplyDeleteWow, what far-flung area are they claiming is the "part of the metro" that got 9 inches? Appalachia?
ReplyDeletemore snow forecast for monday.....funk's probably at his cabin, avoiding it.
ReplyDeleteThe sad part is the city can not ajust from snow to snow. I saw a three truck crew driving down a blvd that was clear of snow and they were still plowing.Maybe the lead truck could have called a supervisor and called off the effort but im sure they milked their shift. What a joke. This city is in a tailspin and it will not get better until a change in leadership.$$$$$$$$$
ReplyDeleteYou know what, if the trucks didn't show for a half inch of snow, you people would be bitching "where are the trucks". It is a no win situation.
ReplyDeleteOutgoing City Hall Communications person???? More please.
ReplyDeleteAny news on the outgoing communications person???
