TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! DURING A TIME OF KANSAS CITY RACIAL DIVISION CITY COUNCIL MOVES TO WASTE MONEY ON MORE HUMAN RELATIONS BUREAUCRACY!!!
I'll make this quick because most of the d-bags on this blog want to talk about the current WALDO RAPIST CRISIS while ignoring racial profiling and vigilantism against people of color . . .
Nevertheless, there are political games afoot in this context of Kansas City racial divisiveness.
According to AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS . . .
THERE IS AN EXPENSIVE CITY COUNCIL MOVE UNDERWAY TO TURN THE OLD HUMAN RELATIONS DIVISION BACK INTO A DEPARTMENT OF ITS OWN!!!
Sure, I believe in diversity, affirmative action and abiding by MBE obligations . . . But this isn't the time to create more bureaucracy.
More than that . . . I know this move is political and probably won't do much to change the status quo.
AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS and City Hall insiders are saying that this move comes from three Council Dudes in particular.
Councilman Sharp
Councilman Riley
Councilman Ford
What's really scary is that this retro department might just be a place for former City Manager Wayne Cauthen's cronies to stay in City Hall.
Will the a rehashing of the Human Relations Department make Kansas City more diverse, improve the lives of local minorities and help ease racial tension? Doubtful . . . But some experts are saying it will cost Kansas City about HALF A MILLION DOLLARS at minimum at a time when Kansas City's bond rating is moving closer to junk and City Hall employees are being cut.
I wish City Council people would speak to the horrible racial profiling and bigotry that's happening in Waldo right now . . . Instead, they're simply finding employment opportunities for their friends in the name of diversity.
good info dude.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I was in that department I actually saw someone asleep in a cubicle.
ReplyDeleteI am sure this is a great move.
Tony your race-baiting over Waldo is a bigger threat than this budget cut.
ReplyDeleteWaldo racists are out in full force. Maybe the human relations department will stop them.
ReplyDeleteSharp almost bankrupted MAST. He forced the Hickman Mills School District into its current plight by all his spending. Why not do the same for the City? No comment on Ford, but Sharp and Riley need each other so they have someone to scratch their backs.
ReplyDeleteThe only one causing racial division in this city over the business in Waldo is you.
ReplyDeleteEver notice how when a trully MORONIC idea comes up so does ED Ford's name?
ReplyDeleteThat division(HRD) is a disaster. Only a few people actually do valuable work, and the director is not one of them.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, Ed Ford is a moron.
ReplyDeleteThey need to combine city services.
ReplyDeleteThe Police department HR should be combined with the city.
Tony, I think you are right. I think KC's black leadership is content to salvage a few jobs for their friends, while unemployment for young black me is skyrocketing. I hate this kind of symbolic politics.
ReplyDeleteKCMO needs consolidation yesterday. It's like the city has become a jobs program while all the jobs quitely leave town.
ReplyDeleteI don't see what the problem is.
ReplyDeleteThere's a forest's worth of money trees just outside of city hall.
Otra mamada.
ReplyDeleteBeen a department since 1951!
ReplyDeleteThe Police?
ReplyDeleteHRD is a division that was in Neighborhood and community services.
By the time they hire a new department director and support staff, this place will cost at LEAST a half mil if not more. Geez.
