TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! SNEAKY KANSAS CITY SUBURBAN EXPANSION STILL UNDERWAY!!! TOMAHAWKE ANNEXATION CONTINUES DESPITE NEIGHBORHOOD OUTRAGE!!!
There's a fun topic underway when it comes to screwed up City Hall thinking: The Tomahawke Annexation is moving forward despite a simple fact . . .
NOBODY CAN EXPLAIN WHY KANSAS CITY NEEDS TO EXPAND IN THE MIDST OF A BUDGET CRISIS!!!
To wit, a new (and awesome) TKC TIPSTER offers a few insights on the upcoming issue:
"A check of the (P&Z) Agenda for the council (committee) next week on Wed shows that several council people are sponsoring the subdivision even though it was denied 4 to zip by the planning commission and the planning and zoning office.NoTo500HOMES.com is the opposition site to this Annexation hot mess and right now they're calling out Council people Ed Ford, Beth Gottstein, Russ Johnson and Cincy Circo.
Since KC fire chief said they could not respond to this area the developer has now said he will require sprinkler systems in all of the homes. Po-Po also said they could not get there in under 17 minutes and Mast said they could not do it."
And while passionate Northland advocates claim that this part of town is the most important voting bloc in KC . . . It's hard to imagine local politicos acting with reckless abandon when it comes to their Northland designs IF the feelings of this hood are so important. Nevertheless, sprawl, a lack of transparency, an inability to listen to neighborhoods IN ADDITION TO ignorance when it comes to City Services has marked the decisions of so many local politicos in Kansas City for so long . . . It looks like the first bit of local government work in the New Year isn't going to be that much different. Natch.
Previously . . .
Why would council want this?
ReplyDeletePayola!
ReplyDeletethis reeks of jeff roe's fat, dirty butt.
ReplyDeleteCan someone say "payoff." Maybe these four can share a jail cell with Terry Riley.
ReplyDeleteI had a look at their website, and I remember when I was told "facts don't matter".
ReplyDeleteYou've got to think like Karl Rove if you're gonna win this thing.
I bet old Mensa man the Bully Boy will want to run a Light rail train up there to pick up the fools that buy houses there.
ReplyDeleteEd "The small town lawyer" Ford is trying to increase the demographics with in his future. Who knows what Gottstein is doing she doesn't know so why should we be able to guess.
Cindy is the only one that suprises me as she has enough smarts to see a dumb deal -maybe.
To the schul Beth! Don't you dare vote in favor of this!
ReplyDeleteI wonder where Flunkhouser is on this issue? I bet he's voting with the real estate developers!
Long live the Orange Revolution, the Orange Revolution is dead!
17 minute response time for a fire basically means your house is gone.
ReplyDelete17 minute response time for a cardiac arrest means you are almost assured to die.
Both of these things require a response time of pretty much under 6 minutes.
This isn't the fault of MAST of KCFD. This is the fault of people putting lives in jeopardy when they were warned.
If Beth is for this, it must be a good thing.
ReplyDeletehaving been told that the MAST issue was about money and not politics, I assumed it meant what was best for KC. I did not realize it meant the money that futhers political careers! How should this be any different than that issue? If you choose to live in BFE, you WILL die, your house WILL burn to the ground. The City Council does NOT work for the best interest of its constituents, it works for the best interest of itself! God help us all in Kansas City because the city council sure won't.
ReplyDeleteWhat this city needs is ten or twelve funerals.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Russ Johnson being a puppet for Ed Ford on this annexation ??? Is he aware he is being played? Hold yourself Russ to what is right for KCMO budget mess and our Citizens whom have tightened our belts to weather this economic crisis!
ReplyDeleteYep, Funkhouser is Voting for this....friends of friends vote. Yet more political undercurrents preventing objective decisions. If this passes we need new leadership across the City as Our Council and Major are taking us down. Meet with the Governor, focus on JOBS JOBS JOBS for the Citizens, not greed of a handful.
