Northland folks against the Tomahawke Ridge Annexation are stepping up their game. Expect to see media reports on their plight soon after several blog post on the subject and I hear they're going to start going after Council Dude Ed Ford with a vengeance.
How? They're making the connection between Construction and Real Estate donations to Ed Ford's campaign and a possible incentive for the development annexed into KC Proper.

Have your read newly released Jan 15, 2010 City Manager Preliminary Budget for Fiscal Years 2010/2011? First page announces, 65 Million shortfall to KCMO Budget. Services are being cut, how do they COVER more territory 17 miles out in another County?
