Kansas City For Crispin!!! Young Candidate garners a HUGE number of signatures for his KCMSD School Board Run!!!
Mattie Rhodes Center Youth Advocate Crispin Rea Jr's candidacy for the School Board is off to a strong start. I stopped by his signature drop off point this morning and his School District campaign was approaching about 1000 people signing up to put his name on the ballot.
Moving beyond his work as an assistant in the Funkhouser Administration, the run for School Board is an important step for one of Kansas City's brightest, young political stars. As people signed up to put Crispin on the ballot, the overwhelming sentiment was that there was a real need for change on the School Board and Crispin's young age, 24, was a major selling point.
I've heard and seen that Airick L. West is supporting Crispin's candidacy and word is that Kansas City political denizen Diana Kander could be kicking in her expertise as well.
So, despite my overwhelming concerns about Latino representation in the administration at the KCMSD . . . More than anything else it seems that young people like Crispin and Airick are garnering grassroots sentiment that desperately hopes there will be change on the horizon for The Kansas City, Missouri School District.
I live in KCK and I would have voted for him.

ReplyDeleteCrispin is already familiar with bending the rules and spending taxpayers money - going to school and getting paid for a full-time job - and who paid for school....hmmm he is going fit right in with the school board
ReplyDeleteHey, Numbnuts. There are thousands of us out there who worked full time jobs during the day and attended classes at night. Yeah, I went to school, got paid for a full time job and my employer paid for school. How's your job? Would you like fries with that???

Who knows, working for the Bearded Ghoul and the other Co-Mayor could be turned into a huge positive in the Latino Community... if he CUTS THEM LOOSE!

ReplyDeleteI can kinda see why the mayor just threw up his hand and moved his office to Brookside, I assume thats' where he lives.
Maybe the best thing to do now is remove internet access from city hall so they can do their jobs. Give em snow shovels, for example.

ReplyDeleteActually the only real office Flunkhouser created of his own free will is in Overland Park, Kansas. The Brookside "Office" in the Shabby Shack was in response to the replusive Squid being expunged from City Hall. Flunkhouse's other "office" is located in the downtown libary... also in response to the Council pushing the Squid out the door of City hall.

ReplyDeleteGarza put on the hispanic theme yet lives in Blue Springs and had to be guided to the West Side. People are gut full of her and her husband all on govenment payrolls. She is using the hispanic community worst than any white has ever done.
ReplyDeleteI dont understand, we have a young Latino who is trying to do something good with his life, yet we have people trying to pull him down! Yes, he and his father may have been with the republicans at one point, but it's obvious that he may have been going off how he was raised...
