Boulevard making inroads into St. Louis beer market. On the other side of the state they have more effective politicos, they get more Obamacash and their local music scene is much more professional . . . However, and more importantly, Kansas City has better beer.
That's great an all, but Schaflay Hefeweizen and the Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat are essentially the same type of beer.
ReplyDeleteOnly the Schaflay does it better. No joke. Compare them side to side. St Louis beer trumps the Boulevard. Cleaner taste, better flavor.
Now, that being said, the Bully Porter and Stout from Boulevard are fantastic.
I will put the Kansas City/Lawrence music scene ahead of St. Louis ANYDAY. I would say most bands that tour the country would as well.
