FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY: KANSAS CITY COUNCIL STANDS UP FOR THE E-TAX!!!

Funkhouser is only "no" vote on resolution supporting KC E-tax

For the Council this move isn't a big win because nobody likes taxes . . .

For the Mayor, he only continues to look isolated and chasing the cash of some old St. Louis Millionaire . . .

In the final analysis . . . The E-tax isn't going anywhere and . . .

THE POINTLESS E-TAX DEBATE IS YET ANOTHER MANIFESTATION OF REACTIONARY CONSERVATIVE BICKERING THAT ULTIMATELY PROVES UNPRODUCTIVE!!!

What came out of the tea parties? Other than nice ratings for Glenn Beck?

Did the Birther controversy ever go anywhere?

Sadly, Mayor Funky is still trying to govern by employing talk show politics and taking on some of the most fringe elements of the far right.

Most people don't understand how local government works or doesn't work and rage against the E-tax is easy while few practical alternatives are ever discussed.

    1. Midtown Miscreant got a 70 year old man 5 years in jail.
      He'll probably die in there.
He's got to feel good about himself tonight.

Who cares what the city council has to say about anything? Nobody I know.

The great thing about this whole deal is that the city council can vote all they want to support keeping the E-Tax but they can't stop the petitions and they have no juice to influence anything connected to it.

Tell them to get back to what they do best, wasting city money and city time.

They're just a bunch of powerless eunuchs on this issue.

    3. When people find out that Sinquefield made his money at the public teat, scraping off the Public Employee Pension Funds, they may be less willing to follow this Nazi to the promised land. Educate yourselves citizens or you will be the sheep lead to the sheering.

      He's a Nazi?

He's never stole any of my money and then turned around and spent it on lawsuits against the Mayor and his flubbery wife, handouts to developers and tax abatements to those rich fucks who buy condos for a half a million dollars or more.

But K.C. has done exactly that time and time again.

7:31 needs to wake up from that dream of his where everyone but K.C. is a Nazi and he's licking down Gloria's fat twat while hoovering up her nasty ass cunt hairs.

The only nazi in this picture is K.C. and the idiots who voted those losers in office and who continue to just stand there and watch as their city goes down the drain, while at the same time they try to place blame on the folks who are lucky enough not to live in that decrepit, piece of shit, podunk, town.

    7. 7:54 - does that mean you're running for office, or you just like to complain?

    8. So how does Pay Gray play the St Louis card if this is a statewide vote?

    9. Hermann is such a slimey bitch.

    10. Not a fan on the e-tax. But how does a city that's broke eliminate ANY taxes?

Can we keep the e-tax and apply it to snow removal?

    11. Dear taxpayers. Let's do the Math. I believe this years TIF payments for underperforming corporate welfare are approaching 150M-170M. I also believe the city is claiming that the e-tax brings in about 200M per year for the city. Following me tax and spenders? If not, I can slow down. So, we rush to sign off on every money losing project that comes along but can't fund a sure thing like removing the one tax that everyone knows people will move away to avoid? Businesses consider it when deciding where to go. People who don't work in KC sure don't want to live here and pay it if they don't have to. People cheat on their taxes to avoid it. Sounds like a surer thing to me. I have an idea. How about next time someone pitches some money losing TIF you fund an e-tax reduction instead?
