It's sad that swagger jackin is all The Star has left.
In today's dead tree rag Yael has a rather useless column regarding the current Mayoral race . . . Tragically, the names were on this blog first with better analysis from TKC Readers.
We talked a bit about Jim Rowland.
I still have no idea who Bill Johnson is but we've discussed him as well.
And this blog was the first Kansas City news-ish outlet to announce Terry Riley as a candidate.
So what news does Yael have to deliver if he's not going to give us the latest update on the last time he washed Gloria Squitiro's feet? It's worth remembering that this Star columnist pushed Mayor Funky's reign until the bitter end and now that the new election cycle is upon us and Funky doesn't have a chance . . . He's desperately working to hide the fact that his influence has now completely vanished and his career is in worse shape than the advertising revenues of this town's biggest daily paper.
Also, he's not as interesting as even the hint of Rachel Stevens topless.
T, You better find out about Bill Johnson, he's the only real hope on the list. The rest are all retreads.
ReplyDeleteRowland has a lot of dirty baggage. And you can bet that the first shot will cut him at the knees.
ReplyDeleteTerry Riley Tony? Really?
ReplyDeleteYael T Abouhalkah, the old lion of the press corps! Master of the House he used to be :) And now, he HAS drifted off into obscurity to be kind and oblivion to be more accurate.
ReplyDeleteHe has, however, at the expense of numerous discarded bodies littered on the sidewalk in front of the KC Star Headquarters remained on the payroll sucking out a check every week or so.
As a remembrance to all of the colleagues that you helped squash so that you could stay to write about sports, Obama in Afghanistan and who knows how many other topics you know little about and make us wonder who you think your current audience is and where your old followers went we salute you Yael.
Please Yael, don't chime in on the Mayor's Race. After the disaster you helped perpetrate on all of us last election, please give yourself a rest and all of us a break.
ReplyDeleteNo one is more irrelevant in KC than Yael. He was once read and now is just red, and not read.
ReplyDeletebill johnson would be great as mayor!
